Newhaven Port, Veolia's energy recovery facility, Denton Island, the cat wall, St Michael's Church, West Beach and Newhaven Fort.
I also share my thoughts on the Lewes constituency at the upcoming general election and discuss whether the incumbent Conservative MP, Maria Caulfield, will hold her seat.

I used to work in Newhaven from 1967 to 1978, at Applied Power International, Drove road, when the old bridge was worked manually. I don't recognize any of this. Sad.

What did you miss? Well, you could walk further up Church Hill, onto what we called 'The Union' as kids. Keep going and you come past the TV mast and onto The Highway - the highest point in Newhaven. If you keep going along Lewes Road, past the pub, you'll find Riverside Park. Much bigger than Drove Park, it's also a great place to relax in the peace and quiet. You could also explore Denton, with the lovely St Leonards Church. And there's South Heighton, which is actually a separate parish, with its own council! Lovely old buildings there that haven't changed much in donkey's years. Walk past them down the hill to The Hollow, past the pottery and on to the park that's at the bottom - often called Dinosaur Park or Helicopter Park. You'll see why when you get there! The maritime museum is worthy of a video all of its own and we're looking forward to the re-opening of the Fort in the Spring. You didn't have time to do the three Heritage Walks, that take you around three aspects of the town's history, complete with maps and information. And while on those routes you can look at the many Newhaven Uncovered signs that tell you even more. Let me know when you're going to do the next walk. I'm one of the town and harbour historians and I can tell you a lot!

You should have popped in for tea with my mum and dad. Don't drive though. The town grinds to a halt whenever the bridge opens.

@@CharlieExploresUK Newhaven is a complete shithole as I said But the countryside around is fantastic The little towns and villages in the downs are nice. Anyway I am moving to Eastbourne much much better town

@@CharlieExploresUK Then you will see what I mean, But Eastbourne town centre is somewhat run down With Debenhams T.J Hughes, the the Odeon Cinema closed down, love the seafront with no shops Which is good
