The pieces don't go far. In his other video he does the same thing but facing a crowd of people who are like 5 feet away but nothing hit them. I think the pieces mainly just go straight up in the air, something to do with physics.
@elizabethhiebert1859Күн бұрын
@garrickanderson5204. Hi, I have done a small amount of stone carving with a hammer & chisel. The carver is positioned at 9 o'clock, relative to the piece he is chiseling. The sculptures on display seems to be 12o'clock (relative to the piece) look to me like 6-10' away from the piece, Certainly I might be wrong. When the carver hits the chisel, the trajectory of the rock shards will mostly go towards 3 o'clock. The shards will fly up some, depending upon the size of the shard. Bigger shards go up but travel less far from the piece. That other commentor was correct about how far the pieces travel. The carvers that I have observed mostly stand in one place and turn the piece as they work so the shards are always traveling towards 3 o ' clock. I hope this helped a bit. Best to all, Cheers!!
