Watching you do those hair wings is incredibly educational! You’re very clear in your description, and as always, clean and efficient in your technique, which helps me understand better what I’m trying to accomplish. And I love the pattern and its versatility.

I love your tying videos Charlie. I must admit that several years ago I started cheating and now use white poly for that style of wing, it speeds things up considerably for me.

I like this fly and can say the name in Norwegian! (Ga til Helvete) Thanks for explaining that the hackle is longer on this fly.

Is fly fishing and tying a thing in Africa? I saw a video from Whiting Hackle Farms and he pointed to a couple of huge orders that were going to Africa. Namibia was one of them if I remember correctly. I found that odd. Is there a big commercial tying industry there or something?

I am thinking this pattern with thread change could work as a green drake likeness. Always enjoy your tying CC. Btw any ETA on your dry fly book?

Charlie when you tie in the hackles you said you tie the hackle inside to outside. I'm not sure I completely understand that? I use shinny side and dull side or concave and convex as reference points. When you look at the two hackles tied in which way are they facing you? Dull side or shinny?

Think Cree with a capitol C would be a good sub on this fly?

I think you could have wrapped another turn in front of the wings… Nice fly though! Cheers!
