One thing I will say about Jun is that he was given his moment here and he fucking took it!! He put his heart and soul into this and I have never witnessed any rapper put so much open emotion into their lyrics. The last bit of here lies a soldier is really deep and well written too.

'Here lies a Soldier' probably one of the greatest songs about the conflict here ever written. Not gonna lie, I listen to rebel songs quite regularly, but in the grand scheme of things, these one sided (Loyalist or Republican) songs portraying one side, one story of events, are all worthless! Right here, Jun gets it absolutely spot on. Simply just, hits home.

***** Well said sir, if only more people had your mindset this conflict would be history. I even find myself using prejudice slurs on occasion,(only when provoked and that kind of thing was already directed at me), making me just as bad as the provoker but after listening to this guy it finally hit me we need to stop that shit right now. It takes a brave man like this to represent both sides in spite of threats and hate. Respect.
@Switch7629 жыл бұрын
Aye well I'm completely outside the struggles of Ireland but that song did ease a lot of my anger about the military fighting in the middle east. Had a mind set that couldn't understand why they were willingly there but I forgot how easy it is to want to fight for something that turns out to be misleading and that war is more than just the evil banking cartels
@Josh_179 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately in some amount of the years there will be much more violence on the streets of Northern Ireland. Nowadays there is guns on the street, bombs, shootings and still paramilitaries prepared for war. The war maybe over but there is still an ongoing conflict but those blinded by the GFA wont believe it and they wont believe it until there is mass murder on the streets. In the run up to christmas Republicans go on a rampage to cause carnage. No i am not deluded there is more hate than ever and believe me or not it will happen.

I love the fact that British rap/grime whatever you wanna call it, emulates rap in America back when tupac, nwa wu tang klan where out, in the sense that most artists make tunes about real problems people face, not bullshit that you here the like of drake and lil Wayne rap about. Most of the British artists are doing it! There's probably loads of underground American artists doing the same I'm just not aware of them. The likes of akala, mic righteous, English frank and lowkey when he was out. Also logic an this guy Jun tzu. All absolute beasts
@reecewalton317710 жыл бұрын
Correct yourself matey, it's not emulating American rap. It's British mc's spitting there troubles and using there city/town sound. The beats easily separates the uk sound away from America. American rap is dead nowadays. The biggest rappers in America are not American. That iggy chick is a emulate American rap. She's from Australia or New Zealand. Drake is from Canada
