Marcelito impersonated singers he heard on the radio. His mother left when he was very young and his father was sent to prison after that. Marcelito lived at the prison with his father until a guard took him home to live with his family. This family was neglectful/abusive and Marcelito walked away at seven years old to live on the streets. He sang to himself for comfort, singing songs he'd heard. He was in grade 2 when he became homeless and his education ended there. He didn't discover that he could sing in a deeper male tone until he was 18. He won a singing competition, in his early 20's, which allowed him to return to school, get voice training, buy a house, get married, and now is a father. His life was as startling as his singing when I read about him. He was interviewed on Ellen in the US and that video is on KZbin. Thank you for your reaction as always.

He is from the Philippine's and does not speak English well, but he is singing in English and also Italian....and he is singing in the not only the language but the dialect of Celine (Canadian English) and Andrea's Italian. And doing it all while he is sitting down...losing 30% to 40% of the abilities in his diaphragm. Beyond unbelievable...one of the most astonishing videos I have ever seen on You Tube.

same as you Mr. Charlie... everytime i watch, listen to him it touched & moved me to tears..to the max...i cry.. really cry hard cause i think of GOD WHO gave him this incredible, amazing, special GIFT... to a poor humble person who has no lesson nor training in music & vocal lesson..and who is not even a high school graduate but only reached 3rd grade in elementary if i'm not mistaken... orphan at age of 7...left by mother & father was jailed... times when he just sleep on streets...etc.. & i could just imagine how GOD looks after him with tender love & care...till He gave him the GIFT that would totally change his life.... search more of his life story and you'll be totally amazed what GOD HAS DONE IN HIS LIFE.. thank you Mr. Charlie, you're onr of the BEST who reacted & simply LOVED IT!

Such a lovely reaction to Marcelito. He only speaks a small amount of English but you'd never guess hearing him sing in English, he is able to sing in about 5 or 6 languages and learns the songs just by listening to them.

Yes, it is an impression. Marcelito is famous for being able to mimic any singer, male or female, in just about any language. I've even seen him do an credible job of imitating Michael Jackson complete with all the dance moves.

Marcelito Pomoy is definitely in the elite singing bracket. He blows people out of the water. He is the master in switching voices in a split second, no effort whatsoever. He could do any music, he does it all. What is more amazing is the fact that he never ever had a real training in singing, he's self-taught. How is that possible? Great reaction, Charlie. That thing he does with his mouth after the song is because the sound engineers were teasing him about his "female" voice so he was "removing" it. He has a super sense of humor. He has, of course, a beautiful voice of his own and has a great stage presence. Marcelito does a mind-blowing impersonation of Celine Dion performing 'Power of Love' on the WISH Bus. He also has albums where he does dual recordings of both voices overlapping the harmonies of famous duets. Marvelous. Oh, and one more thing - we fans NEVER give away the surprise. Yes I'm kind of with you there. I can completely appreciate Dimash and I'm totally stunned by him every time. But I don't connect with him like others do. But hey, that's not taking away from him - I'm well aware of how incredible and unique he is. For me he's the difference between the finest food at the best restaurant and your mums cooking. The restaurant's food may be the best their is but nothing gives you the feeling of your mother's cooking. That's sort of how I feel about him haha. Unlike other singers he has no professional training. He is the worlds greatest voice impersonator. Rather it be Sarah Brighton, Miley Cyrus, Michael Jackson....He’s trained himself since he was three years old. That probably contributed to his being so talented without ““ classic training “ telling him what to do and how to do it.He alone knows his instrument & what do with it . Even when sitting down which restricts a 30% to 50% of your diaphragm he’s learned how to develop the greatest breath control. There really is no comparison with other singers of today.Dimash Has a terrific voice. Raised in luxury by two famous opera singers. Trained from birth. Pomoy Born to poverty. Abandoned at two. Stayed with his father in jail for a little while and then adopted by a guard .Didn’t go well & ended with up living as street as a child. Check out his imitation of Josh Groban. He also speaks several languages and sings perfect dialect in many languages.Lots of people can sing it to voices they just don’t compare to him. He has the ability to change each voice. It’s not the range that’s impressive.
