Shoutout to Charlotte them boys were outmatched but played their tails off and kept it close. Their QB Jalon Jones took a BEATING but kept going, throwing and running hard til the very end. As a UF fan, this game wasn't what we were expecting. I found the offense not being aggressive and having no motivation to be frustrating . That needs to change before playing Kentucky. But let's give credit to the defense. They played really good. Austin Armstrong continues to show why he was a big pick up this off season.

I put it mostly on Billy Lots of short yardage situations where he decided to go field goal instead of going for it. Could’ve added at least 8 points to our total if converted. It is nice to know Smack is good but come on Mertz was inconsistent but overall decent Fumbles weren’t good

1 TD and 5 field goals against Charlotte is not a good look for Florida. The Gators need to get it together. Playing against Kentucky hasn't gone well for them as of late; losing 3 of the last 5 matches, which at one time was unthinkable. Florida won 31 straight against Kentucky from 1987-2017. Coach Napier maybe new and 9‐8 with the gators【4-5 in conference games】is understandable with only one full season. However if he keeps losing to teams like Kentucky and Vanderbilt he wont last long with the gators

Your math is even more hilarious. They won by 15 not 13. 3 starters missing on the O-line is problematic for most teams. Youth got a ton of reps. Florida found a kicker which is huge. Not even a split second did charlotte look like they could win the game. Mertz threw for almost 90% completion percentage. Freshman scored a touchdown and looks like he’ll emerge as the starting tight end. Defense gave up one score in 60 minutes of play on to the next.
