I do own CT beautiful skin foundation. Whenever I wear this foundation, it makes me look younger and after 8-9 hours of wear, after a wash, my skin looks plumped and even. That’s odd because majority of the KZbinrs didn’t like the CT beautiful skin. But I did notice the difference in my skin. On the first application, the first pump, the foundation gave me patches of dry skin , but on 2nd and 3rd application, that wasn’t the case. Probably the tube pump had dry foundation stuck into it on first pump. Because it’s been since two months, I have been wearing beautiful skin nonstop!

I love your point Dacey on mixing in a moisturizer with a more full-coverage foundation, however, do you have any affordable recs for moisturizers to mix with that don't break up the product? I've tried a few moisturizers that don't seem to mix well with my Loreal Infallible 24 hour fresh wear foundation. This winter air is definitely calling for more moisture in my base but I really struggle with which moisturizers are compatible. Anyone's suggestions would be SO appreciated ❤️ ALSO, this would be such a great idea for a video - skincare that's compatible with makeup/skincare routine before applying makeup. There aren't many videos on it and would love your advice on the subject🤓

Thank for the demonstration. It's always nice to hear that I'm not the only one that has problems finding the perfect match, especially since my skin tone can be lighter and darker depending on the time of year. Also that others have problems with hyperpigmentation and embrace it in their beauty routine and not just hide it. Take care.

Nars shades are always a bit off but can find a shade that’s close enough, never a real exact match but I do enjoy the look it gives so I don’t mind keeping it. The Charlotte tilbury one is an amazing match and a beautiful application at first but once it sets on me it separates so quickly and looks terrible. So for me nars is my choice between the two.

Actually companies should just stick to neutral, skinlike, but enough shades. Warm up or rosiness is easily achieved with the common tools (primer/blush/bronzer). I see even very tanned or black complexions looking ridiculously yellow - that needs to stop. Everybody loves the CT Neutral shades.

Lol nars is literally the only brand that gets my skinstone. I am quite fair but more yellow toned than neutral, they normally get it pretty good.

I agree. I have combo/normal skin type. The Nars Light Reflecting foundation looks amazing on my skin. The new CT foundation first application looks amazing but within hours of wear the foundation looks very oily like even sheen look. I had to return the CT, I tried using certain primers and setting powders. Wasn’t doing it for me and my skin. I stick with the Nars.

Absolutely fantastic video. Super informative and as always completely honest. This is why I love your videos! I started watching last night but fell asleep so had to finish watching this morning before work as am planning on ordering one or the other of these and really couldn’t decide which to try first. Because I always get two shades I simply cannot get both at once. I think I’ll start with the nars based on this. I’ve said from the start the CT one is almost a combination of her latest foundation mixed with her flawless filter. It sounds beautiful but I prefer the sound of the nars more so so that’s first! i think the nars sheer glow is definitely more of a glowy, milky finish. the light reflecting foundation has better longevity and could potentially feel more light weight for people that need to build up coverage because it's more a "serum" ish feeling liquid.

I also have dehydrated patches. How do you deal with it? I’ve tried exfoliating and using more moisturizer as well as using overnight hydrating masks but they don’t go away! I’m at a loss.

Honestly - I usually have to wait for them to go away on their own most of the time. Occasionally slugging helps, but not always. Slowly my skin has gone back to normalizing but there are days I wake up super dry from the Adapalene. On those days I'll usually spray some thermal water all over my skin, and then just use some Cerave ointment on the dehydrated patches.

Dacey, I have a skin tone similar to yours but nude colored lipsticks make me look sallow and only bright colors flatter me. Do you know why this is? The bright colors are like orangey, berry, neon colors

It could potentially be that the bright colors are what you feel the most comfortable in so you just don't fancy the way you look in a nude. I think nudes are also really personal, I would say most nudes are not flattering on me and I really have to try and find the right ones for my skin tone.
