Probably the one you have all been waiting for but honestly trying not to be as controversial as last time. Some people got upset about my opinions so I'm trying to be more constructive this time... So the trail system has actually weathered in nicely and there are some new additions that are very nice. Canopy Trail is great for beginners, although I would like to see some of the features be more level or downhill for inexperienced riders to try, since that is who it's tailored to. The Boulder Trail has more uphill rock gardens and a few fun features that you have to pedal for but no foul there. I am not sure what trail it is but the jump trail with the rock faces are decent, could probably use a touch up but they work and are actually pretty fun to lap. In my opinion though, the legacy trails are the best out here. They have lots of flow and some chunk and provide a nice natural challenge. The new jump trail hub is very fun and very lapable so pretty good job there. Only two real critiques and it would be a 5 out of 5 jump spot. The wooden lips on the Black line are very harsh. The transition is super quick and will have even the best riders on their front wheel. They do boost you very high but the landers also do not match the trajectory. I think with a few small tweaks, they could be absolutely amazing. They work now for sure, but just because you can jump them, does not make them good jumps. All things considered, if you can handle it, they are still fun. Second is the ranking system. The black line is considerably harder than the double black line. I guess the DB is rated like that because of two gaps but even with the gaps, the jumps are way easier than the black line. Also, just an opinion, but I think they should try to mirror what is already in Charlotte with ratings. The Single Black at Airline is considerably more challenging than both black and double black at Rocky Branch. I suppose that is just semantics. Tried to give a fair and honest review, let me know what you think.
