100% agree the final color you chose was spot on. To me the first color was pulling pink toned and did not look good in your kitchen. The final color fits your space beautifully! And honestly it didn’t matter what color you thought it was pulling because in the end it’s YOUR space and if you don’t love it that’s all the reason you need to change it. I think the new shade will pair beautifully with the new dining room table you recently purchased. Beautifully done! Definitely giving Farmhouse Glam!

I absolutely love the color pigeon that you ended up using on your island. The other color was beautiful but it was too pink and seem to wash out the area. I had to laugh when you said it took so much longer to finish the project than you ever anticipated. I do the exact same thing, thinking I can get a painting project done in a day and it ends up taking me three! Perfection takes time 😊

I don’t have an island. But I can’t see my husband doing that great of a job. And if he wants me to help, it means he will be yelling at me if something doesn’t go right. We don’t work well together. I love the shiplap. It looks great. I think the color just changes depending what kind of light is on the island. The back looks taupe. The side looked pinkish purple. That color looks the same in all the light. Much better than the other color. Like you said. It’s only paint.

That first color was tricky. I thought in some instances it looked gray while the sides looked pink. 🤷🏻‍♀️Love that shade of green you chose. One thing I’ve learned with house projects is it’s never as simple as 😂!!!

I would choose a sagey green taupe. It does show purple and in one light it looks salmon pink. Your cabinets are really pretty.

It looks good when we redid our kitchen I did white cabinets with a rustic alder island which is like a grey brown and I love it I did all gold hardware and couldn’t be happier we built our kitchen table and bench and I stained and was able to almost match the island perfectly

Good morning sunshine! Oh yes! Love the color! Love the new knobs better also, as you have copper in your kitchen and they blend! You know it's funny as the back of that island with the natural light on camera looks green! I know it's not, but it comes off as green. You know my friend , I've been thinking. Have you ever tried putting a plunger on that dent in the front of your refrigerator? Try it! I read somewhere where a plunger pulls dents out of cars so I don't see a difference! Love your island my friend! Tell Danny he ALWAYS out does himself and makes you so proud of him! What a wonderful hubby! So blessed Tiffany! I live the first color I thought it matched the brick better however I like the second color also it does bring the foyer into the kitchen. It’s your home and you have to love it. I love when a kitchen island is different from the cabinets. Great job

Danny is always such an amazing trooper! Kudos to him for helping to bring your visions to life. From the moment that you said you were going to be painting the island in a taupe color, my reaction was that it was not going to be a good choice (the only thing about the taupe color would be that it would pull in some of the color from your brick backsplash). The pigeon color that you ultimately went with is a million times better and I am obsessed with the antique brass colored cabinet hardware. It all looks stunning and very high end yet still has that cozy cottage farmhouse vibe that is seen throughout your home.
