I think I like the idea that these notes have a huge sillage and last forever, yet I'm more drawn to the florals and fruity notes which never have a great throw or longevity. I feel you on the men’s fragrance. I picked up 2 Tom Ford men’s fragrances in the sale. My husband angrily asked who had been driving my car. I answered you and me. I bought the Byredo because it’s not too dark. I can’t remember the last time I saw an eye pallet that didn’t have black and dark brown taking up half the pallet! The very light skinned among us can’t use dark. Unless you’re a makeup artist. My dark would be the mid tone on others. Thank you Byredo for being different for a change.

Also they are much easier for travel and the Dior mono shade "beige mitzah" is stunning. A one and done shadow, can also be included into a smokey eye, amazing! Something to keep in the work-bag for a touch up that suits basically anything we did to our face in the morning! 😄👍

@@rims.1196 well I have every single mothership and most of the quads from PML. I think it is difficult to compare them. But this Byredo palette is special. The formulas are soft and so easy to apply and blend. I believe Mineralscapes will end up one of my all-time favs. My favorite Mothership is Subversive and Mineralscapes is right there with that one. I think if the color story of Mineralscapes attracts you, then you can't go wrong picking it up. I haven't even been tempted to use another palette since I received mine. Hope my opinion helps you. It's a lot of money but I don't regret it at all.

I briefly worked in fragrance sales for Byredo, and this eyeshadow palette seems so coherent with their overall aesthetic, which is minimalist and arty, as well as appealing to people who like things to be 'natural'. Hence, the mineral angle. The founder of the brand is a visual artist as well. Anyhow, I'm excited to see this product introduced and so happy to hear Charlotte's opinions on its value.

So when I found out about a week ago, I ran into the store lol and was going to purchase another color that I had been wanting, and it was totally gone. The everkiss lipstick by Dolce e Gabbana is their Devotion lipstick, they came out a while ago. They are extremely lightweight, it feels like having nothing on the lips, very easy to remove but the colour is full and they have a mousse consistence. They are the best lipsticks I got this year.

I so badly wanted to pick up the Byredo palette.. and when I checked my collection I found that I had multiple palettes with the green/blue/mauve/gold/copper/silver combination. Not exactly, but close enough to scratch that itch. That color story is more common than you'd think because these color combinations just work well with each other. I have a number of ND palettes and was able to put those shadows together and have been enjoying discovering those shades and doing effortless two shimmer shade looks.

My take, I think the Byredo palette will sell out and I do think this formula and color story is really special. I’d give away all of my motherships and keep the two Byredo palettes I have. I mean I don’t want to (but if I did I would ;) I do agree with you though about this mineralscapes palette.. I wish there was a bit more variation in depth. It does sit very medium depth overall for me. I would have liked to see a lighter and darker purple for instance and although the two blues are different, maybe didn’t need two dark blues in this palette. A darker brown would have been nice. As much as I’m not a single eyeshadow wearer, if these mono color shadows are like beige mitzah, I’ll buy a few of them. Beige Mitzah, at least in the old formulation, is spectacular.

I bought the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm in the US Sephora Sale. It was recommended by one of my favorite KZbinrs, Lexi Jong (highly recommend!). And she was right about it. The tinniest bit, really just running my finger over the top, and pat, pat, pat, a fully mattified T Zone. Lasted all day and night without a touchup in a 70sF day. Hope it does the same when it's 100 degrees. My most useful new product in years! I got Universal which is clear, so good for anyone. There are colors, but this Universal will take me years to go through. Great start to this brand. Thanks for the video.💚

I think one of the reasons the Nars blushes have been reformulated is because they contain talc. Whether that’s because talc is generally quite drying or because of the health concerns I don’t know. What do you think about talc in powder products Charlotte?

I picked up the Guerlain bronzer and am so glad I did! I thought it wouldn't be so different and bought into the beautiful design honestly, as a makeup lover and collector, but it IS actually different from the original 03 Warm shade because the peachy and pinky blush parts of the bee are quite pigmented! And their finish is different as well. I will say, it does go on lighter than the 03 shade because you have those softer tones mixing in. I'm a little darker than you and it showed up on my skin with just one light layer, so I do think it will show up on a lot of skin tones, even on deeper ones but it will be more of a blush-topper, highlighter. It is absolutely GORGEOUS and the finish is completely different as well. The regular bronzer is a satin-matte finish whereas this one is a high satin, almost pearlized sheen. It's absolutely stunning and have found this one, is actually worth getting! :) The bright fuchsia bits of the wings and little flower are an over-spray and you will only get one application's worth which to me, is fine because it's way too glowy for my taste. And it's sort of a duo-chrome fuchsia that turns orangey-pinky. It was so beautiful though! And I kind of enjoy that exclusivity and one-time excitement lol Savor it while you can and then cherish what's left of it :D

Ohh Charlotte you MUST dive in head first to Danessa Myricks!! Fool proof that I habe tried are ... Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder in universal, and today I will get my sephora order with the skin tone, both of the groundwork palettes are incredible!! The neutral one is amazing for brows!! Nothing has been easier! Her yummy skin tint is beautiful, and pair it with the blurring balm or skin glow serum, and you will love the glow as I know that tickles your pickle! The blushes are viral so def a hit! Colorfix is not as user friendly.. think of rare beauty blushes pigment, but they are just WOW! And the clear one gives of the most beautiful glass 90's vibe! Her balm contour was my first purchase, as it was named a new times as a fave in videos, dare I say balmy like Tom Ford? If not, it is very user friendly! Beauty oil with gold leaf, add to your foundation for a WOW healthy skin glow!! And the tiniest bit goes a long long way! The vision flush glow hyper radiant liquid highlighter in Tiara is just so naturally gorgeous! The samples that I have tried for the serum foundation is nice, but add some of that gold leaf oil and love your skin! Of ALL the brands I have tried, I actually emailed them twice to say how much their products made me feel confident! The dew wet hydrating and highlighting balm, her blurring powder and the new yummy moisture repair balm serum are going to be my future purchases! And if you want to shine like no other, the chrome flakes, lightworks palettes and twin flames liquid eyeshadow are going to please for sure! So you have the best of both worlds, the beautiful glow that nourishes the skin, and the WOW what is on your eyes next level too! AND she is such a beautiful person on the inside too!! This is the only brand that I get excited when I talk about! It is just so innovative and makes me feel beautiful! I swear I do not work for them, nor received anything free 😀 I just love her brand that much

The "wet" on the ND powder is the ability to place a couple of drops of the hygen primer on the pan, swirl, and use the whole thing as a primer. Give it a go 😊

Don't feel bad. Any Danessa Myricks product I tried aside from the Groundwork palette, I have gotten rid of because I don't think I knew how to make it work to its highest potential. I think Makeup artists love her stuff because they get creative but for this luxury buyer, that wants the product to work for me... it's often a miss for me. Also excited to hear your thoughts on ND highlighter, I don't think I am going to get it because for sensitive skin girls, she used coconut oil in it, which isn't great in my opinion. Initially was excited for this but I don't think I am the right person for this product. I did get the hourglass powder and while it might not be an exciting product. It delivers and doesn't get cakey. It might not be as blurring as Givenchy or Pat, but it doesn't get cakey...it just disappears. A little underwhelming but respect it.

i’ve actually never tried a nars blush, and i’d love to try the edge shade as well as taj majal, because i’ve always wanted the shade but couldn’t find it. your eyes look gorgeous, and i need that byredo palette, because it’s a brand that’s been on my wishlist, and this one has my attention. dior’s beige mitzah is one of my favorite shadows, and i loveeee singles, so i hope they’re are more shades like that, but those swatches aren’t convincing them. mascara, blush, bronzer, highlighter and lip products are my favorite steps in makeup other than eyeshadow. i was so excited for the new ysl butter balms UNTIL they said PH ADJUSTING!!! the melt supernatural mascara is one of my favorite mascaras. i don’t own anything from guerlain and i probably never will, but the bronzer looks aesthetically gorgeous. i’m excited for DM yummy skin lowlighters, and i need the low key and unbothered shades. she makes amazing products and you just need to jump in, charlotte. i am a sucker for highlighters, and i’m going to need both the ND and fenty highlighters in my life!!! i’ve already seen someone review CT’s new perfumes, and two of them had my attention for sure. i hope you had a great holiday, charlotte. i truly enjoy all of your videos!!! 💚💚💚

I agree Danessa Myricks can be intimating, last year I wanted the groundworks palette, I let it go, I was not sure I wanted to invest in a palette with half cream shadows that will probably not preform after a year. With that said I have been into monochromatic looks lately, using my blush and bronzer as eye shadow with a slight wing or heavy mascara but not both and a lip liner of similar color. So the new bloom palette romanced me, truly wooed me, I pulled the trigger and I am not going to say there wasn't a learning curve..YES there was. You are artistic even if you consider yourself a novice that isn't most of your viewers perception, and although it may be geared to more elevated talent it lends itself to the layperson with some time to get use to it. It is one of my favorite palettes now, I get exactly what I want out of it. As far as C.T. fragrance, I have such a problem with most fragrance disappearing on me within 20 minutes, if the fragrance isn't a beast it doesn't last an hour on me. Example Killian Angels share lasts about an hour on me and then undetectable, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille about the same. I have waisted so much money on fragrance and although I love the scent, I can not justify $300 plus on something that barely lasts an hour.

I think NARS Madly was discontinued three years ago. I did swatch the new blushes and they're good. I did not like Charlotte Tilbury's first perfume. People are going to think More Sex is a perfume oil from a street vender. 😄
