WHO AM I?
I'm Charlotte.
I'm 28, love carbs, rubbish 90's music, Prosecco and baths without finding a bath toy stuck under my bum.
I have a little boy called Bill (born June 2012) and a little girl called Daisy (born April 2016).
I am, very recently, a full-time vlogger and blogger (the stuff dreams are made of), but I am also a trained journalist, former magazine editor, and content lead.
I'm also part of Channel Mum - which is really worth checking out if you're a mama like me and want to find videos to make you laugh, cry, nod, or get advice. / channelmum
I was a single mum, just me and Bill. But then I had a bit of a fairytale moment when I met Mark (he's a bit lovely) and things are better than I could have hoped for now. Daisy was born with Stickler Syndrome, and a cleft palate like me. Her start has been rocky but she'll be fine. She's got a family who adore her after all.
I know that all mums are different in their own way, but I hope you enjoy seeing snippets of my life, all the same.

I know the worry won't completely go away until you have that gorgeous baby boy safe in your arms, but no matter what- your child having stickler syndrome is NOT your fault- you cannot control passing it along any more than you could control being born with it yourself. Hello Charlotte. First of all, thank you for sharing this video with us. I can't imagine how hard it was for you to go get that scan but i am so happy you got the news you wanted. My husband and I went in for our 20 week ultrasound just yesterday, everything looked normal with our baby girl but towards the end, we were told that they had found a choroid plexus cyst in our baby's brain. Even though they told us not to worry, we couldn't help it. I've been so worried and haven't stopped crying since then, all we want is for our baby girl to come out 100% healthy. We just gotta keep strong and believe that God only gives us as much as we can handle. I wish you the best in this pregnancy and praying that everything turns out okay♡

Wow, what an amazingly strong and special mum you are! I am 18.5 weeks pregnant with baby #3 and stumbled across you on the channel mum pregnancy week by week updates. When a link then popped up suggesting you were also having Bub 3 I got curious and peeked at your page. Your story since then has touched me in ways I cannot explain and made me even more grateful than I believed I was to have been blessed with two healthy babies to date, and hopefully a 3rd to come. Seeing your strength and courage is inspiring and your children truely must be lucky to have such a role model in their lives. I was super pleased to see this update, although I did shed a tear or two watching it. Best of luck for the most amazing next 20 weeks and what will hopefully be a healing birth and homecoming.

I have my 20 week scan next week and I’m so nervous ! Mine is in fetal medicine too as I have epilepsy and take two medications to control it meaning I’m consultant led during this pregnancy . I had a gender scan at 16 weeks and baby seemed absolutely fine but I’m still so scared !! 😩💜

Your feelings have made me completely tear up! I feel exactly the same way as you right now... with diabetes type 2 that was uncontrolled when I got pregnant. I’m pregnant with my first, I don’t know the gender. I’m 14 weeks today and my worries are abnormalities and Down syndrome. I went for the nuchal translucency rest where they measure the back of the neck but baby wouldn’t move into position so they couldn’t do it. I’m so worried I’m going for the quads instead anyone else been through this! X

Feeling every word your saying because my first son has a smaller cerrebelum and now i.m also 20 weeks pregnant and at every scan i.m so nervous asking about his cerrebelum. I.m so feeling what you.re saying that everyone expects a healthy baby, but I just dont. I have never experienced raising a healthy child and i.m too afraid to hope that this time around i will have this amazing experience. Every scan is full of emotions and when my doctor says everything looks good so far i just feel this bliss and overjoy. Its oh so very hard to be afraid for your baby.s health when he.s not even born yet. I.m so happy for your good news and hope I too shall be so lucky with my second baby. Ps. Oh my gosh, that was agonising! I could see you were emotional from the start and I was really worried that the news wasn't what you'd hoped for. I'm so glad that your baby won't have the same difficult start in life that you and Daisy had. I'm so glad that it's opened up so many more options for you in terms of breastfeeding & birth plans. I'm so glad you don't have to worry anymore and can just relax and enjoy your pregnancy. I know there's no guarantees in life but today you have one less thing to worry about. Did you have the harmony test done too? Also loved seeing your belly shot + update today. I'll be 20 weeks at Christmas and to think I'll have a love baby bump like yours and will be feeling the baby move at that stage just fills me with joy. I'm actually struggling now as my symptoms fading, no bump really as yet and weeks to go until my next scan. I'm getting so paranoid!
