After years of research and a lot of wrong lyrics on internet I came up with the following Lyrics: First some more background information: The original song is from Tony Ronald and called Help. (They just speeded it up. I extracted the wave file from the original song from Tony Ronald and doubled the speed in Cubase and it sounded the same as this song from CL&MT. They used this sample as the base for the "cover". However this version you're now listening to is slower than the one that originally came out). In My memory it was as fast as about 1.25 of this video. For the lyrics I also read Tony's Lips in one of the youtube video's and the Lyrics are: I found a love but it didn't last Wonderful days belong to the past I don't know where I stand, what I'm to do Tried to forget and I found someone new So I prayed on my knees to heaven above Send me somebody, please, someone to love Lend an ear to my story, give me your hand Don't let me down with a heart to be ment (For a long time I was absolutely convinced it was "let them into my story". But Also found "lend an ear to my story" on internet. After doing some lip reading on Tony Ronald in a Live performance video (which was playbacked of course) I came to the conclusion that it is: "Lend an ear to My story") (Ment = obsolete spelling of meant). I think this means something like "meant to be". This has to be it
