Charmed used to be a fun show about sisterhood and women's empowerment. Then it turned into a melodrama about Piper's sons, random love interests, and weird costumes/transformations. Charmed is iconic, but Constance Burge's departure changed the whole dynamic of the show.

In my country, they would replay the original Charmed episodes every morning before school in the 2010s. My sister and I would always get so excited to get up early to watch this show. The same show that our older brother became obsessed with as a teenager (he got to watch it when it first came out). Charmed ended up becoming very important to our family and together, we all hate the reboot.

Anyone else pissed Netflix removed the original theme song and replaced it with just some non-lyrical background music 😤? I’ll be forever salty about that change because they’re only so many good shows with badass opening credits, Charmed is one of shows.

Netflix didn't do that, Charmed did by letting the music license expire. It expired after season 8 aired but before they released the disc set (discs, ouch) for season 8 because they couldn't renew it in time. As a result if you have discs of individual seasons 1-7 printed before the license was lost then you will still hear this but discs for season 8, the entire series disc collection that they made once the show ended, and anything digital (including Netflix) doesn't have this because they no longer had the license to continue using the song. I only know all these because my wife used to always watch Charmed to fall asleep. First on the individual season discs and then on Netflix. They actually lost most of the music licenses on the streaming outside of the appearances and a few others. Two other's they lost that that come to mind are 1) in Coyote Piper (season 3 at some point, the one for Piper's class reunion) when she's dancing on the bar to EMF's "Unbelievable", it was changed out for something else that sounded inspired by Unbelievable but not actually it 2) in Charmed Again: Part 1 (episode 1 of season 4 where Paige is introduced) the very first time we see Paige she is dancing to Tantric's "Breakdown" but that was changed out for something else on the digital streaming as well.
