So season 1 is actually (slightly) different for episodes one and two. At the end when Prue closes the door with her powers, they use the ending of episode one where she's wearing a red top and doesn't point at the door to make it close. From episode three and on, they actually use the ending from the pilot that was never aired.

I’m a little disappointed because when I bought charmed on Apple TV the series decided to take the opening song off is very disappointing. Is there a way that they could bring it back to third uniform because I watch charmed on Peacock I watch charmed on prime and I love it and it will always be my top favorite shows , just bring back the original song to the tv series... if you luck yo have the set on dvd or the box sets, that’s the only way. Will always love this show, thanks for placing it on reruns and dvd. I would love to buy it on Blu-ray

Personally, I feel seasons 3, 4, 7 and 8 are the best four seasons of the show mainly because they have an actual story arc. The other seasons mainly just feature stand-alone episodes. Seasons 5-6 was truly Charmed’s lowest point.

The plot line for season 5 I thought was good, the episodes focusing on Wyatt and Paige coming into her own. I rather think 6-7 were the worst. The Wyatt turning evil and Avatar storylines were good in their intentions but poorly written and executed. Though I think any episode "Grams" was in was great. Season 8 was entertaining enough, but Billie & Christie were an unbelievable nuisance. They could've just made it Charmed Ones vs. The Triad.

@@sw9618 but what plot line?!? It’s just about Piper’s pregnancy. There were some great stand out episodes such as “Cat House” and “Sense And Sense Ability” but as an overall season, it pretty much sucked. It was too boring for me. And was there really any need for Season 5-6’s double ended premiere and finale?!? Albeit Season 6’s were better and a little more necessary but still... I just feel they lost their creativity for season 5. And I hated the whole Richard/Paige Montague/Capulet story in Season 6 too. I actually really loved Season 7. From start to finish with maybe the exception of “Show Ghouls”. Billy Zane just got too much for me at this point. But I really loved the whole season 6 leading Leo to the avatars which leads Kyle to Zankou etc.

This is something about the show I didn’t quite like either but I managed to watch the other seasons and I’m currently about to have a taste of the very last episodes, I think it’s primarily due to nostalgia, I just like the vibe of the show. But yeah, I felt pretty upset after Phoebe vanquished Cole, the show didn’t feel the same after that but thankfully, the last season stands out more than the 2 previous ones in my opinion.

I think we should give a necessary credit for these impressing sequences where it's due. Because, let's face it, the "How Soon Is Now?" song itself is totally unrelated to magic and an unlikely choice for such a show per se. The only reason it got there is because it had already been used in the magic-themed sleeper-hit movie "The Craft" (though, appropriately enough, in the scene without any magic in it). Moreover, it was the only reason why this cover version by Love Spit Love was even recorded in the first place, as "The Craft" music supervisor had specifically asked them to cover the The Smiths song.

Charmed had many, many issues, but to this day I still love the show. At least the first 4 seasons. The show really lost its charm after Season 4 when Brad Kern's creative control combined with Holly and Alyssa becoming producers ruined the show. The demons got less interesting, the magic became less of an important factor over their love lives and scandalous outfits and to top it off the girls hardly became heroes. In fact by Season 8 Piper and Phoebe became the true villains of the show, its sad to see how self centered they got over the show. Especially Phoebe. I love charmed, mainly because of the early seasons that captivated my heart, but eventually the show went downhill quickly and the quality became so bad it was laughable. What gets me is how as the show went on it required a lot less effects just to work properly, while seasons 1-4 were never stellar or quality in their special effects they at least had them, the later seasons just seemed to sacrifice effects, which is most evident in the girl's powers. Especially when everything just resulted in Piper blowing them up while her freeze barely existed. While shows like Buffy were growing, evolving and become more mature and dark for its viewers, Charmed went the opposite direction, from a dark fantasy young adult show about witches to a cheesy fairytale sex-and-the-city-wannabe mess only powers inconvenience them. Even the theme song showcases the downgrade in quality. Notice how, from season 5 onwards, the structure of the opening changes. From season 1 to 4, it went like this: screen shot of the character with the actor's name below immediately followed by a scene of each one using their powers. But from season 5 to 8, the "power usage clip" is gone. It may sound like a silly detail but, to me, it really symbolizes the huge tonal shift of the show in the later seasons. In the end, "Charmed" was more about the girls wanting more "me" time and complaining about their witchy duties, to the point where they sometimes became unbearable (especially in season 8)! The same could be said for each of the boxarts, with the Prue Seasons have the girls side by side like actual sisters and Season 4 doing so for Piper, Phoebe and Paige. Once the boxart for Season 5 and onward comes around it feels less like three sisters and just three women in scandalous poses with Phoebe always front and center because she was made out to be Brad Kern and Alyssa's Mary-Sue. Seasons 7 and 8 intros really showcase this by emphasizing their "sexy looks"

But unlike others, I actually liked 4 and 5. 6-7 had good individual episodes, but the threads of each seasons were executed poorly. The original Charmed Run shaped my Teenage Years so much I even got my Mum & Sister into the Show. When the reboot was announced I was immediately unimpressed that the People behind the show wanted to push forward with it's development without letting a full Generation pass before the OG Show had concluded... That opening song plays in every season. Technically Dorian appears in every opening from 1-7, however when a character didn't appear in the episode he/she wasnt shown in the opening.
