​@@stephanielorraine1898Zankou the very moment he appeared, was able to kill Kyra, a powerful seer with Premonition, along with Phoebe's premonition power. He sensed when they were vulnerable, while switching powers, to his advantage. He learned to know human emotions to his benefit, to get the book after they killed their zombie-innocents. He tried to get the Nexus like 3 times or more and was able to retain it at the end. He broke the magic school power field. He knew how to use his enemies to his will, to defeat the avatars and then to fight the charmed ones. He was the demon with more combination of power and focus to defeat them, and he learned from his mistakes (like seer did in season 4). Cole had more powers but he never actually wanted to kill the charmed ones.

Yep. When Zankou was first released, he had on this great full BLACK LEATHER outfit that would look great on me! Hell yeah! I wanted one just like it! Other than that, Zankou was great. Very powerful, very smart, very hell bent of absorbing Nexus.

He actually gained control of the Nexus. He died because the Charmed Ones used a spell "To banish a Suxen" (Nexus spelled backwards) Which vanquished the Nexus and took Zankou with him. It would have killed the charmed ones if they hadn't thought to astral project.

Well actually Cole was able to summon the nexus even with one charmed one in the manor, he was able to keep control over it even after Phoebe put the nexus back into the ground, cole went with it. Zankou on the other hand couldn't summon the nexus with a 3 inch tall Piper in a protected doll house, and plus the charmed ones knocked it out of him from magic school. Oh and Cole was stronger than Zankou, zankou could've been vanquished with a potion or a power of three spell but he was to smart.

Well yeah.. Balthazor failed:) Failed to control cole, failed to kill the charmed ones, and failed to serve the source. But you're right, Cole really could have vanquished Zankou and the charmed ones with the wave of his hand if he really wanted too, except he loved phoebe and if he killed Piper and Paige she would NEVER love him.

@PantelijaS On the bright side, Shannen's departure from the show means they introduced Rose Mc Gowan as Paige, my favourite Charmed One. Phoebe always gets on my nerves and while I think Piper is great, her attachments to Leo and devotion to a normal life and family make her fairly onesided, where as Paige was more openminded and versatile. Charmed was pretty tame by most standards though, even in that time. Nothing exciting ever happened.

I didn't say Zankou was weak, I just said he wasn't as strong as Cole. Well season 5 Cole. And besides Cole wasn't interested in the book, or taking over the manor (except to get the Nexus to try and win phoebe back..)

Zankou was probably the strongest demon with the exception of season 5 Cole who could not be vanquished and was only killed when he rewound time. Zankou was my favorite demon not counting Cole and was probably the smartest.

His first episode was season 7 episode 10 Witchness Protection. I don't know if any has posted it, but hey search for it it might be here. Artimiss Barker I don’t think Zankou was more powerful than the source of all evil, I just think he was much more of a tactician which made him harder to kill. When Zankou had the shadow underneath the house, then he may have been more powerful. Sanjay would definitely have been a much better final villain. Billie and Christy were the final villains it was the triad.

@@phobeo I feel like I remember something being said about the source being the one that sealed zankou away. zankou imo was a way better character than the source (two-faced source) I don't remember who is sanjay? yeah, the triad were the main villains but when I said final villains i meant final episode villains. i really liked how the charmed one's allies helped them fight zankou.

After all the Source was in one time upper demon and had more time to became stronger, anyway Zankou was imprison because he is too dangerous and above even someone as Shax who is more powerful than anyone except the source himself After all the source was empowered by book in one time, while Zankou wasnt

I don’t know if he could have been stronger than the source since the source had the power of all evil due to the ceremony with the grimoire, but Zankou could have eventually defeated the source by outsmarting him. Kinda like how Cole almost defeated the source because he was distracted.

Zankou knows that taking on the Charmed Ones head on NEVER works. If he backed them into a corner they would have clawed their way out. The Charmed Ones have/had all sorts of things protecting them, especially in their own home where they were the strongest.

he failed to get as close as Zankou to killing the charmed ones! Plus he had that little human form of his to hold him back. W/out cole, Balthazor would have been the most ruthless but he wasn't as smart as Zankou. =D Which is why in my book Zankou is da best.
