HOW TO MAKE RESIN KEYCHAINS?
Hello, Everyone!! Here's another video of Epoxy Resin craft project, where I am casting resin in flat round molds and turning them into keychains. I have used Mod Podge Glue to transfer the nail foil onto the resin piece. The process is similar to leaf gilding but with transfer foil. Simple, fun and easy to do resin craft idea for beginners. New ideas with Nail Transfer Foil and resin.
Please follow necessary SAFETY MEASURES while working with resin. Work in WELL-VENTILATED or OPEN areas. Don't forget to wear GLOVES and GAS MASK!!

When you applied the top coat of resin did it cover the rhinestones? They turned out beautifully.

Thank you so much! The resin did cover the middle section completely, the rhinestones on the ends are little protruding but are under the resin as well.

Thank you! 😊 Yes, I cover them with resin, but they still sparkle beautifully because the rhinestones have pointed backs. Only flat rhinestones loose their shine under resin.

May I ask why you are using modgepodge instead of resin for putting the stones on?

No big reason. I was using mod podge then, so I used mod podge to stick the stones as well. If I had to use resin to stick the stones, I would have used UV resin. I just needed the stones to stay in their place when I poured the doming layer.

Yes, you can use resin to transfer the foil but the process is different. You cannot use this method to transfer the foil with resin.

Good morning I have a question why you didn't use the UV lamp at the end instead of waiting 24 hours and why you don't use electric drill to make the hole

Hello! I didn't use UV lamp because it was not necessary here. UV resin requires UV light to cure but I have used two parts Epoxy resin here that cures in about 24 hours not under UV lamp. I did use UV resin while attaching the screw eye pins but it was too little that it cures itself after leaving in sunlight for a few minutes. Also, I don't have an electric drill. It would have made things easier but I am fine with using Archimedes Drill.

You can also use uv resin for this. Quick cure the resin so it is still tacky then apply the foil and cure again. Once the resin is cured remove the excess foil.

Thank you! I have done foil transfer with UV resin as well. It is surely a quick way but as UV resin is expensive, the glue technique is another way to do it in less cost even though it takes time. It is either time or the cost.
