Personally, if I were in Charmy's shoes while dating Cream, I'd come to figure that Shadow's probably just messing with me by trying to spook me by stalking me and Cream, learn to just sigh, and give up on trying to tell Cream that Shadow's been appearing and disappearing for brief periods of time. Probably even calmly and briefly acknowledge Shadow's existence in a joking manner (much like I would've done when playing various horror games) before moving back to dating Cream.
