I feel like what happened was Charo was up against the food cart getting some D from Tom Sr. And after he finished he gave her one last HUGE PUMP she wasn’t expecting and he sent her flying forward over the food cart. And with not a care in the world Tom Sr walked into the bathroom, took a mean #2, brushed his teeth and got ready for the day while Charo was still on the floor in pain. At least that’s what I think happened, the evidence kinda points to that.

Christina’s comments about Henry Rollins’ comment on not destroying yourself to get back at shitty parents is troubling. It oversimplifies a much more complex myriad of struggles and challenges. It’s like saying if you don’t like all the corruption by the rich elite and politicians, just become richer and more powerful than all of them and change the laws and legislature. If it was just that simple, more people would: 1) be able to do it. 2) actually follow through on it. But having shitty parents is directly detrimental to upbringing as almost all of the lessons, values and morals that most people believe make a “good person” are and NEED to be instilled by the parents themselves. It’s more akin actually to saying if your doctor isn’t treating you well, than just get healthy without them to show them. Kind of hard to do “something”without “someone”when you also rely on that “someone” to help/teach you how to do the “something”. Counter-intuitive.
