Wow, thank you for reminding me how magical that place was when I was growing up. Nice neighborhoods, nice people, classic churches and winding streets. Thanks.

Another lovely video. For the past several days I've felt like I'm going through life holding onto my temper with both hands. I know that conditions are wearing everyone down right now, but I never thought it would hit this hard. The beautiful old buildings and houses somehow remind me of a time when I was a child when I actually felt safe for a while.

Now that Orange Hitler is finally gone, maybe we can finally start to pick up the pieces and try to rebuild our lives and our physical and mental health.

This trip begins by turning off of the Market Street Bridge onto South River Street in Wilkes Barre. The trip eventually goes to South Main Street and then Horton Street and eventually to the Carey Avenue Bridge heading across the Susquehanna River. This first trip is in the southern section of Wilkes Barre and the Lee Park area of Hanover Township. The trip then goes on US 11 southbound through Plymouth and then on PA 29 southbound back across the Susquehanna River going past Nanticoke. The trip then turns onto Main Street in Ashley at the end of the video. Along the PA 29 portion of the trip one can see several warehouses and distribution points which have been built in recent years. Those have provided employment in the logistics industry in recent years. This trip was in Luzerne County.

Born and raised in the W-B. Moved away in the late 90s. My Grandmother lived in Ashley too. Still have strong ties to the area.

I’ve been on those streets many times. Lived in W-B and even Ashley for a time. It really was a great place to grow up. I’ve heard otherwise since, though.
