@@Down2RV - Mr Perry's coach shows his dedication to the bus conversion hobby, plus the incredible longevity engineered into these coaches when proper preventative maintenance schedules are followed. How many late '60's Winnebagos are still on the road fifty-odd years later? For that matter, how many factory Class A motor homes even survive 10 -20 years in service? The highway coach conversion community is in a completely different world than your typical RV owner.

What a fine bus conversion! Thank you to the beautiful couple for sharing a tour of their home. They must have hundreds of entertaining stories about their travels and about raising their children in a bus. Maybe they will share a few of them with us some time.❤

I worked at Allison transmission on the V730 line for approximately 5 years. Those were very good reliable transmissions and that is why they were put in so many busses. Solid, built to last. Good to see one still going strong.

Greyhound has coaches that have that had a million miles about 3 years ago (2008 Prevost). Their older buses probably had 2-3 million maybe more. (MCI)

I have great respect for the bus conversation owners. I wish I have the mechanic skills I’d have one of these or a wanderlodge, but I don’t so I own a Tiffin Allegro Bus.

Beautifull Coach ! ,I’m a retiredProfessionalWoodworker and the buildout on this Coach Including the Fitband aFinish is Outstanding the Owner is a Excellent Craftsman I think it’s also very Cool that he has also kept up with some of the Modern Applications like the Solid Surface he did himself ! I’m actually a Certified Corion Fabricator and Installer with a Couple of other Solid Surface Brand Certificates I’m retired now due to health issues and at the moment I’m drawing a blank on the other Brands my Former Architecual Woodworking Company got Liscensed to Fabricate and Install In the Hey Day of Solid Surface every manufacturer of HPDL Jumped onboard the demand for Solid Surface Counters and there were so many different brands and stifles At One Point someone in Canada was making a man made Faux Stone tile and Molding Wall Tiles named Quarry Cast and we had to get Certified to meet our Customers Demands I was one of 2 people in thevWashingtonD.C. metropolitan area to have that Certification but the demand for that quickly seized We did one large Hospital inNorthernVirginia

I've got a PD4106 I've driven all over the country. Sadly it was sideswiped by an 18 wheeler and while we managed to drive it home the damage to the skin was bad. It's been sitting up for about 15 years. Sad.

Newell builds their buses from the ground up and are as much a million mile bus as that GM. Prevost builds are also built for millions of miles. Plus, they are built of stainless steel. The entire frame and superstructure is stainless. The late Charlie Daniels bought a new Liberty Prevost in 1989 and still had it at his death and it had over 2.5 million miles on it. Liberty also gives a lifetime warranty for the original owners of their buses against squeaks and rattles. They kept Charlie's bus free of squeaks and rattles the entire time he had it.

"Incredibly wonderful. We applaud you for saving that bus, as well as raising your children that way. You are all appreciated. And, RV guy, thanks for bringing their story to the world, to aide in making this a better place, in so many ways you have yet to realize. I'm here to save the world, etc , and this makes my job a little easier and more magnificent."™ Sincerely, Predada Severa™, Classified intricated Abovedeepblackdirector™, illuminati™, etc.

@@Down2RV I would love to know exactly how he did that with the power door locks so I can 😂do it to mine when I start converting it next month. What an absolutely beautiful bus, both inside and out!! They definitely have something worth being proud of, that’s for sure!! Question tho: since Mr & Mrs Perry raised their three children on the bus, have any of the children followed their lead by also getting a bus and sharing the joys of the lifestyle with their families or do they just use Grandma & Grandpas bus while thru are out and about? I’m about to start my conversion of a 1982 MCI next month. I can’t wait to get it done and start enjoying everything if we can get some diesel fuel, lol. I’m probly buying the bus at the worst time but I don’t have a choice at this time and I’ll make it all work out!
