not bad at all !! your slowest speed is still twice faster download than mine !!

I have 1 Gigabit ethernet link to my ISP here in Finland, only 1GigE interfaces with cat5e/cat6 cables and fiber on the way from home to next routing point. Local operators public speedtest servers seems to have just 1 gigabit uplink too. So while there's many using the same server I have for example only 700Mbps or 500Mbps link speeds against those servers. The link still do full gigabit but speedtest server won't. And with random servers/peers with random protocols there is random loss by protocol and smaller packet sizes than MTU. For example Gigabit interface can handle about 80k packets/second (having MTU packet size) not some bytes by second (counted by traffic counters and shown in bits of data sent/received) because of there's no any muxing/packing protocols in way to next routing point. So loss is not shown, only thoughput. You should see raw packet per second information. So if there's half of capacity spend to small control traffic then you have those BitTorrent speeds available. ;)

Was this wifi or Ethernet?

At 0:34 I explain that it's a WiFi connection which is confirmed to transfer data at 600Mbps (I used iperf and iperf3 for the wifi testing), and I also confirmed the internet speed test results to be the same as this video while directly connected to the cable modem.

@@cpspot My ping is at 30 can It go down if I get 400 mbps
@cpspot4 жыл бұрын
@@vivixig9408 No. Your ping indicates the network distance between you and the speed test server. That will not change if you subscribe to a different plan with your ISP.

What would make your ping time go down is if a company (ideally your ISP) begins hosting a speed test server close to you.
