The solution is to play like Tom Quayle by using classical guitar technique: bending the palm of your hand, otherwise the pinky is just too short and dependent on the ring finger, except for few people that have a mutation on their tendons inside the hand.

I believe John is/was a huge influence in Marco's guitar playing. When i was younger, i was listening to a track that i thought was Dream Theater (was James Labrie's solo album mislabeled as Octavarium on limewire) at the time... Only to learn 4-5 years ago that it was Mr.Sfolgi i was listening to all along! He sounded just like Petrucci, so i never questioned it!! Both are absolute monsters, their phrasings are so damn tasteful and beautiful it makes me cry lol. Please listen to the song Drained by Labrie. The solo in that song is the reason i thought it was John from the start!!! tone and style was exactly the same..

The main riff is similar to Damage Control from Petrucci's first solo album. However, I think the purpose on each song is different, so both are great on its own!

Be aware of the single coil pickups. They arent noiseless, not bright and are the complete opposite of what a single coil should be so you would wanna change them

Incredible !!! I’m glad I discovered Marco on my own as guitar player and I firstly saw one of his betcha can’t play this videos then I watched all of his KZbin videos and heard all of his discography and I just realized that Marco combined all the guitar gods techniques into his own interpretation version for his own music creation … long story short for me Marco is the best “Genius” guitar player ever born !!! I know there are Guthrie, Petrucci, Bumblefoot, Matias, Vai, Lukather, Gilbert, Timmons, Plini, Rick Graham, Tosin …. and tons of other world level performance professional guitar players but as Zack Wylde already said it in “Music is Win” video “father Vai is saying, there is no best guitar player in the world, all about is what your taste who you like most like food what spices and how juicy you like the food” so for me the best recipe of for music is cooked by Marco Sfogli … it is complete therapy for my ears, body, heart, soul and brain !!! ❤️

Please!! Share your secrets regarding pick attack? On your tone, I don't hear that high pitch squeal of the pick hitting the strings and I've always wondered how I can practice to sound so smooth? Is it the tone of your amp, do you dial down the highs or how you would approach this? Really loving the lead tone here, it's full but now muddy at all!

use pick like dunlop jazz 3, nylon material make your pick smoother.. the plastic one is more aggressive
