There are plenty of us that had seen some growth in Justin and wanted to get the most out of trading the pick. I'm a Bears fan, so I was disappointed the day of the Fields trade, but I trusted Poles and got ready to see what this kid is for real. He is signed , he's my quarterback until he isn't.

8:15 this is an easy question to answer if you watched the Beads since the 80s or earlier. ANSWER: because the bears were never a run and gun team. For decades they relied in defense and the run game. Remember, the two times they appeared in the superbowl, how did they do it? Run and defense. It worked. But then the league started changing and the Bears tried to adapt. Getting Cutler was the time when the Bears decided to balance the offense. Then after Cutler (especially the Trubisky and Fields era), they tried to find a franchise QB. Unfortunately the Bears had a guy named Ryan Pace who was terrible at GM and did a poor job developing TWO QBs that he drafted. So the history of trying to get a franchise QB has NOT actually been that long for the Bears. They always had a QB just good enough to manage the game before because that was their strategy. And the guy who holds the record for most passing yards in a season only missed the 4,000 yard mark by only 100 yards. Its not like the most yards passing for Bears franchise was 3,500 yards or less. 4,000 passing yards talking point is blown out of proportion by the media. What if people started asking which franchise has never had a pro bowl running back? Look how many the Bears have had. How many teams never had a top 5 defense? What Bears lacking in passing they excelled in running and defense.

Man, stop it. Caleb will get better each week. When Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions in his rookie year, no one crucified him. Caleb will be just fine. The Bears won a Super Bowl with Jim McMahon. The defense will be the teams strength.

That’s exactly what he’s saying though. Teams are going to do their best to contain him and game plan for his scrambling, so it’d be best to develop his game in the pocket in the event they’re successful in containment. He already has that off script part of his game on lock! 🐻⬇️

In my opinion, Caleb Williams is over-rated and is just another 2.0 version of Justin Fields. He played against nothing but 2nd string players in the Cincinnati game, yet with his own starting Bears line-up had only two nice throws and it took almost the entire first half to do it. Truth be told, he looked awful. And yes, I'm a Bears fan. Just an honest one. Outside of a good arm, he just doesn't impress me all that much.

Daniel deserves respect for his work as a backup for us and other teams, but he’s trying to become an analyst and is horrible at it and a massive hypocrite. He did a video in January, one of dozens he’s made to this day pumping up Fields, and said word for word, “ I truly feel that Justin Fields is the franchise, is the quarterback for the Chicago Bears…Ryan Poles has a very difficult decision to make…in my opinion, that is to keep Justin Fields”. He can’t try to advance his career now by backtracking saying how special Williams is. Not welcome on the bandwagon.

Baget looked better as a QB not as someone running for his life. One is repeatable. One is not.
@joesutherland93542 ай бұрын
Yes because Waldron ran a shit ton of shotgun with actual routes for Bagent. With Caleb he ran the absolute basics and really hammered down on under center stuff in the pre season. When the 1’s were out there 0 WR’s ran a corner route or a dig route and only ran 1 slant route and if you don’t want to take my word for it go to NFL next gen stats and look up the Bears starting WR’s each week of the preseason and it will show you there tracking data on the field. Waldron is a very intelligent OC and teacher Russell Wilson and Geno Smith are perfect examples and they themselves said as much. The offense you saw in preseason and Caleb is not anything close to what offense and Caleb you will see come week 1 I can promise you that.
