My dog found me on a ranch I worked on for 11 years dumped at gate west of ft worth. She was emaciated and a bag of bones at the age of 7 or so months. Found many dogs dumped over the years on the place and usually found homes for em. She found me a month after we lost our family dog. She is now 13 years old and has been by my side in my truck at work and exploring etc ever since. Been at my side finding deer sheds, fishing and hunting. 1000s of miles together and she still has the puppy sparkle in her eyes. She one tough old brod. She fell out of truck at 65 mile hour off took box. Ran over once luckily in mud. Been beat up plowed into groundy fighting a huge buck that had a doe in heat. Bit by rattlesnake. And she has many scars to prove it with only a broken nose from all of it. She has slowed down a bit but still loyal as all get out and always looking out for her pack. My family of 4 My dee dee dog will be dearly missed someday.

Thank you for this. I flew across the country to visit my daughters and my dog went into heart failure while I was gone. Im sitting with my feet in the pool playing this song on repeat while i wait for the FaceTime call to say my goodbye from 3000 miles away. Dolce and I spent 15 great years together. She wasn’t just a dog she was my best friend. She always knew when to come up and put her nose in my ear and give me kisses. I’m going to miss my best friend. I’m sorry dolce I wasn’t there to comfort you in your last moments you will not be forgotten. Sincerely your side kick

Praying for comfort for you during this time... she sounds like an amazingly special girl. The bond between dog and man goes so far beyond just owner and pet... They are so intuitive and always know just what we need. Although I can only imagine how hard these last moments are, I know from experience that the time spent together and the bond between the two of you stayed with her and she could feel you even if you couldn't physically be by her side. This is a great song. I almost died in 2020 and my father convinced me to take a chocolate lab pup and it was one of my best decisions I ever made. He helped me get healthy and he gave me the confidence to go back dating and I am now married with two great kids. He saved my life and we do love our Sunday cruises with his head out the window and my lady right next to us. Dogs are amazing.
