oh my god i remember that game 😭 i usually fight dualies by catching them mid roll but you never rolled during our first fight AND I WAS SO CONFUSED

what about play dualies but your only form of movement is dodge rolling? you could still slightly move in the direction you want to move, but you cant move in kid or squid form (besides dodge rolling as a kid) too much

One of my favorite series you used to do was "Video ends when (insert requirement here)" but I remember you mentioning that those didn't always get the best views. If you ever revisit the concept here's a few possible ideas "Video ends if teammate says "Ouch". "Video ends if teammate super jumps to you." "Video ends if 2 teammates give each other a pound during the victory screen" "Video ends if you get a kill with Ink Storm"

I got a challenge for you chase, I just experienced this through the entire splat fest last time cuz I actually broke my R stick back then. Here’s the thing: Play any dualie you want but you can’t touch your R stick, any mode is fine. Trust me, it doesn’t sound too bad but if you’re using dualies, this is kinda painful lol.

Dousers definitely don't want to dodge roll *often* but it's still an important part of it's toolkit that shapes how it plays. Being able to flip from primarily playing long range poke into diving on an opponent that's made a mistake, or rolling to flip to short range for a fast splat on someone that's managed to close distance significantly changes how safe it has to play. The ranged poke IS the primary mode IMO, but if that were all it had... it would absolutely not hold up as a main weapon, particularly comparing to Jet Squelcher which just does the ranged poke and paint better, and most midrange weapons which can threaten to splat quickly at comparable ranges. Very fun watch.
