Adding to my 20 YEAR OLD GameCube Collection

In this video I buy a collection FILLED with GameCube games, and Pokémon cards to fill up my collection that I've been working on for 20 years. We go over prices on a bunch of GameCube games, so if you see any of these out in the wild, make sure to pick them up! We also take a look into my collection that I've built using profits from my reselling business, and some of my favorite GameCube games and Pokémon cards.

Nice haul. I really love the GameCube. It has a strong library of great games. I used to use the PSO disc + broadband adapter, to play ISOs from a laptop to my GameCube, so I didn't end up opening most of the games that I continued to buy, because I still believed in buying the games I enjoyed. So now I still have most of them in mint/factory sealed condition. I didn't even realize Go Go Hypergrind was worth anything until recently. Pretty crazy!

I never played Batman Rise of Sin Tzu back in the back. I had a PlayStation 2, but never knew about it. The only superhero games I played is Spider-Man and Catwoman based their movies. However back in 2012 I sold my PlayStation 2 with my games at a yard sale. Now I’m slowly getting back into playing video games. I saw a KZbin gamer who shown a walkthrough gameplay of Batman The Rise of Sin Tzu and I was mind blown!

I was heading for the complete collection on the cube a few years ago, got about 3/4 of the way there at one point but sold up. Used to carry a console, 4 pads and a pile of games everywhere. The games that travelled with me were, naruto, Mario kart, bomberman, smash, best 4 4 player games for sure

I remember buying that Earthbound on the shelf of a best buy brand new when it came out on clearance for $6... And still have the cartridge and guide with the scratch and sniff stickers to this day, wish I still had the box. Just started playing through the game with my sons... Priceless man.

LOTR Third age is an underrated game! For how expensive RPG’s are going on gamecube, it has stayed low and it’s a great game if you’re a LOTR fan. I think it would be cool to see an updated ‘want’ list for your gamecube collection!

I Played all the Sports Games with my other 2 Brothers growing up i guess a lot of it was becuase of playing sports in school which we did play some old school Super Mario, Contra, Turtles,tyson punch out, bad dudes also was great times im currently a part time seller once again and my goals is to open up a shop by fall or next year if everything doesn't fall apart with economy and my health is holding up love yalls videos they have made me fuel my fire for collecting and reselling again i got burnt out for years and now im working full time and reselling part time on my off time its a lot harder now then it was in my 20's lol now im about to turn 43 but oh well like Jelly Roll Says To The Wheels Fall off \m/

Man if I could only go back in time. I worked for Gamestop from 1999-2003. I look at some of the items we couldn't give away and what they sell for today. We would get shipments of sealed SNES Players Choice games and break them apart tossing the box. (Crying)

Long comment ahead! Proceed with caution! Wow! Awesome buy and of course awesome video! GameCube and Pokemon was a huge part of my childhood, so this collection would make my life if I had it. We definitely think alike when collecting. I generally only keep a game if I think I’ll keep it. Also, what? Big box Zelda Four Swords is $150?! I got a pretty minty one at a yard sale about 4 years ago for $10! It stays with me though. When I was a kid I was never interested in sports. And the third party titles never looking super appealing to me either. So my GameCube collection was chock full of bangers. Unfortunately they were sold many years ago near the beginning of my reselling journey. I didn’t know then that I’d want to play them again. Oops. I’ve gotten a lot of them back, but some of the heavy hitters elude me. Pokemon is the same. How did my younger, new to reselling self know that I’d want to collect Base Set? That was just Charizard and Gold Star Pikachu though. The bulk of Pokemon cards and CiB Pokemon Soul Silver and Dragon Quest III GBC were sold about 3 years ago. That’s when I started dating my now wife and I had to start paying for stuff myself. So at least my priorities were straight. Ah, Earthbound. My copy is cart only, but I got mine in a similar way. I got a big collection of Nintendo Power magazine from a yard sale for about $20. I filled probably 2 small/medium boxes. Went to my local game store (about an hour away from home) and saw that he just got in a cart only copy of Earthbound. All the magazines added up to about $200, so I walked out paying $180 in store credit. Don’t worry I still have it. This channel is so amazing. The journey you’re on with both reselling and collecting is truly something else. My journey is similar albeit on a much smaller scale. But it sure is a fun one despite the challenges.

The GameCube is one my favorite consoles, I collected all 446 PAL releases complete with box and instruction manuals which took about 5 years to complete, also around 50 USA and Japanese exclusives.

I found a sealed Philosopher's Stone for GameCube a few weeks ago in a charity shop for £1. I couldn't quite believe it. If anyone knows the rough value it would be very helpful as I'm not an expert. Deciding if to keep or grade or sell to fund my n64 collection.

When you sell the items you collect you put your buy cost at $0

You don't associate them into buy cost. For example if u buy 11 games for $100 it would be like $9 a game but if u keep a game then when you put in the accounting for it, you would mark it as $10 a game. So your buy cost per game goes up to equal out the total buy cost. However if you go to sell it later, it doesn't recieve its original buy cost so your buy cost on the game would be $0. You pay taxes on the profit you make so if the buy cost of a item is $0 because you calculated keeping the game this way, when you sell it, the total net is profit. You could also not file the item at all until you decide to sell it so it keeps its buy cost. For example you buy 11 games for 100 but u keep 1 game. You file money out at $91 for 10 games and then when you decide to sell it, you mark it as a purchase of $9. I'm sure there are other ways that people do it but these are just a couple methods.
