I know a lot of people get lost in the Disney aspect, but the lyrics are realllllly worth diving into (as is often the case with Devin). The permissive idea and the permission that you don’t have to flee from that thing, that situation, that whatever it is…you instead can take control by choosing to walk away? Pretty damn powerful. My anxiety really found a home in this song, and it’s amazing to me the way Devin explores mental health in music.

Yes!!!! Devin is one of the most slept on performers of our generation, and these shows he did were incredible, especially when he started strapping cameras to room fans

Seen Devi 3 times live now and he's a must do - so much fun, so any vibes from different eras. The consummate performer! Wish I could have seen the Retinal Circus (before I knew of him), but his normal show is pretty awesome anyway!

This was one of 7 complete 90 minute Quarantine shows that Dev streamed for $25 - then immediately put them up on YT for free. He donated the first 2 shows proceeds to children's hospitals. He had to re-create all of the many, many backing tracks to make the shows possible. He said he often had to go on Spotify to remember how some older songs went. His music, words and actions have been life changing for me. Even though about 1/3 of his catalog isn't my thing - the rest resonate with me like no other.

I love that the quarantines shows were to raise money for hospitals & health authorities during the pandemic, he donated to the NHS, the NY health authority & one in his home country of Canada I believe. Wonderful man. I do prefer his live version of this in London though...😂 but this is also delightful!

The first time I heard this song, playing the CD, I honestly thought there'd been a mistake at the pressing plant. This follows a death metal song called Hear Me. This started and it wasn't until Dev's vocals started that I realised it was him and it should've been there.

His big rock opera project "The Moth" debuts in March 2025 with the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Tickets sold out in about 3 days, unfortunately
