Once Daniels gets comfortable keeping his eyes down field when he's scrambling he'll have the opportunity to make some really big plays passing the ball. This will come with time as he learns, and trusts, his receivers getting open for him. I thought Kingsbury called a good game....receivers were open, but the QB can't see them if his head is down running. He'll learn.....he's a bright kid. Great breakdown as always Chase.

At the end of the day 8 or 9 games into last year Jon Allen said Sam Howell was the franchise QB for the next 5 years. He said that in a post game, based on how Howell had played, I believe in a losing effort to SEA. But he had put together 3 good weeks and it looked like he was developing. My point is it won't just take 1 game, 2 games or half the season for Jayden to fully develop. Of course it would have been nice to see him make more 'on schedule' throws in his debut. But like many have said he either didn't see it or simply didn't trust the windows, getting used to the speed etc. If he continues to favor running over on-time pocket passing well into the season, then we can seriously complain. But for now we just have to see how he develops, and by all accounts passing is actually a strength of his.

Yeah, EB did do a number on poor Sam.

He has no offensive line, just one offensive weapon, and he's a rookie. They're not going to throw him in the fire in his first game. National sports media has a bias in their coverage so the only time they speak on the Commanders, it has to be something negative. Dude is going to be really good when he figures it out. He's a natural thrower of the ball.
@elcemuziq8514Ай бұрын
I thought JD played well. He didn’t force anything but he’ll need time to learn defensive schemes. He doesn’t really trust his eyes yet which is fine and it takes time.

He missed 2 very easy throws. One to Terry 70 yards TD & to Luke 20 yards. That would have been 274 passing yards, 88 rushing yards & 3 total Touchdowns. He will clean that up as the season goes on and the protection gets better. Washington got themselves a quarterback!

Deshaun Watson left structure early his entire time in Houston, it’s a nightmare for time of possession and makes the offense very binary, all or nothing stalling drives.
