There is a very strong argument to be made for him as league MVP. If it truly is Most VALUABLE Player it’s really not a discussion. He took a 4 win team to the playoffs improving the record by 7 possibly 8 wins (was very close to two more wins against Dallas and Pittsburgh)as a rookie and did it missing his top 2 Running backs multiple games, having only one top tier receiver, all due respect to the others cause they are making plays too but they are lower tier receivers. As good of a season as Saquon is having, he joined a Super Bowl contender with a Top 5-10 QB and 2 bonafide receivers on the offense. If he isn’t there, the Eagles still win 10 plus games.

It's not a philosophical debate. They look at stats and that's it.

@didgruntleddansnyderfan well his stats are comparable to Lamars when he won it last season, and Jayden doesn't have the weapons that the other players up for MVP have to work with. The Redskins have had two 14 win seasons since 1931: 1983 and 1991. Those are the sorts of things Daniels is making me look up as a rookie. Still only three people on our Mt Rushmore: Joe, Doug and Mark. But there's room for a fourth the second he matches them. Maybe not this season, though. But I honestly think even that's possible now with him.

A lot of people really don’t understand just how good he’s been, and that he’s done it with a lot less than every other elite QB has (on both offense and defense). He’s literally 4th in QBR, behind only the 3 QBs up for MVP: Lamar, Allen, and Burrow. Bo Nix is good but was never even close to taking ROY from Jayden.. he’s also 20th in QBR. And Bo even has a top 3 OLine AND defense. Some rookies like Bo get praised for winning games where they are mediocre and throw 3 picks; Jayden literally gets criticized for games where he “missed a few throws”. 😂
@ryanw71965 күн бұрын
I feel the defenses anxiety whenever the commanders run that option play, I dont think weve ever seen a player that can run it so effectively: you can see all of the defenders on the side the play is running to just freeze trying to guess what to defend against knowing whatever they pick Jayden will probably go with something else.

The trouble with next level OC's owning their opponents is the often have multiple open receivers. Young quarterbacks lean on their veterans and miss wide open checkdowns. Jayden continuing to miss open guys should be the least of anyone's worries. Side note, pretty sure JD5 knew Zach was close to his 3/4 million dollar results bonus. Just a guess

Does this prove that being a calm QB with arm talent will edge out a good defense on average? Is there a style of defense that will usually beat his skillset especially in the 4th quarter of games? He has a 113 rating in the 4th quarter this season. That is nuts! I looked up the ratings of the top 10 QBs, only Jayden and Baker have higher ratings in the 4th quarter than their whole game average. Ever other top QB has a lower 4th quarter rating than their overall average rating.
@samuelanderson85195 күн бұрын
In fact after careful examination, Jayden should not only get offensive rookie of the year, he should also receive the NFL MVP !! I will state my case against anyone !! What he’s done no other rookie QB has ever done. Why ? Because it’s hard to do. JD + ORY =MVP The Commanders were 4-13 last season and now 11-5 & one to go.

Zaccheus has stepped up big time with Noah Brown, Dyami Brown and Ekeler being out and almost had a flawless game until he dropped that late 4th qtr pass over the middle that would have put the Commanders in position to win the game in regulation with a field goal. They need Ekeler and Dyami Brown back in the lineup to make a serious run in the playoffs because they're not going to stop anyone. It's going to be a shootout.
