Shortly after suffering from a stroke in 1997, that left him paralyzed and unable to walk, Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) met with his friend Pat Rodegast, aka "Emmanuel." Here Ram Dass asks Emmanuel about the relationship of the ego and soul to God. And why is it so difficult for the ego to understand what Emmanuel describes as the most important "spiritual" truth, that everything (and everyone) is an expression of Universal Consciousness, aka God?

Thank you for sharing - I have loved Emmanuel since my first contact with him and Pat Rodegast in the 1980s. This is a precious recording of 3 precious souls. If I may just make one observation, I found the music too loud, it overpowers the speakers and interferes with the ability to hear and absorb the message fully. As a musician, psychic and highly sensitive person, I do not perceive music as "background", it has a power beyond what we think we know about it and should never be used as mere accompaniment. The music you are using is beautiful and powerful in its own right - perhaps it would be more effective and less distracting and overwhelming used to intro and outro the video? Do not be afraid of the Silences in between, my friend, it is from the Silence that all things come...including music. Thank you.
