One thing I noticed critically about yesterday's match was that Virat didn't raise his bat after he scored half a century however he did raise his bat post winning the game. This shows how deeply he was into the match which proved that his own score didn't matter to him much more than winning the game for his country. That gives him an edge to be such a great player 👏🙏

That "NO" Ball could not have been referred to third umpire . Rule says , unless its a call on OUT - it can not be referred to TV umpire . Virat had a right to claim it to the field umpires which he rightly did so. Further, It may be noted that rule says umpire will refer point of contact whether it is below or above waist line . You cannot see & conclude the parabolic path post contact point & rule is explicit & absolutely clear about it. Accordingly , there should not be any controversy about it & we all should take it with good spirits. Despite all above ,You guys are absolutely fair analysts & I love this programme ! Why Pakistan throws the match away after their bowlers give such a good start. Twice this happened in last 2 months. First against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup final where they were 58-5 and then scored 170 and now here in MCG where India were 31-4 and again they gave the match away.

@@sumbdi Well they have repeated this thing in several matches in past few years. Here I mentioned only about 2 matches. In last year world cup semi final match against Australia they lost after Aus were 96/5 chasing 175. In 2020 against England in a Test match England were 117/5 chasing 280 odd runs again they threw that match away. Also in a one day match last year, Eng were 165/5 chasing 330 and again the same story repeats. If it's happens once then it's okay but they keep repeating it. It's just terrible way to lose a match, you cannot defend this again and again.

I've been watching cricket since '92 world cup. Three things I can't understand in yesterday's match 1. Axar's run out while the bails were already out by keeper's hand before the ball touch the stump. 2. Rizwan collecting the ball before it passes behind the stumps while stumping DK. 3. Umpire not giving no ball signal at the time of the ball connects VK's bat.

I am happy with Arshdeep Singh's bowling. I always felt that he should play world cup. He is the only left handed fast bowler. I'm also satisfied with our other seamers who bowled their hearts out. Of course Virat took us from losing to winning position. Hats off to him. Nawaz must not be blamed as he took 2 wickets in the last over. In tensed condition normal to bowl wide or no ball. He got Hardik and Kartik out. It's just his bad luck that he couldn't get victory for his team. If seamers had to bowl last over then aindia would have won with few balls nutritious to spare. One of the most important aspect in this match, which no-one is reading into, is India kept wickets intact till 15th over after loosing three main batters(Axar was a bonus wicket). If chasing team keeps wickets in hand till 15-16th overs, 50-55 runs are getable in 30 balls, in T20 format, exactly it happened in this match. India has the advantage of having batters in groups like Rohit, Rahul, Kohli & SKY, Pandya & DK + Ashwin who has 5 test hundreds. Once India lost Rohit, Rahul, SKY, India still had Kohli, Pandya, DK & Ashwin. Had India lost any of the two batters before 10-12th over, chase would have been impossible. Hats off to BCCI, IPL and cricket fraternity which is serving India well. Mind you, India's number one bowler Bumrah & a world class all rounder Jadeja are Injured.

One good over of about 18-20 runs at crucial juncture, put enormous pressure on fielding side and bowlers rather than attacking or getting batsman out goes into survival mode. At that time batters of the calibre of Kohli, Butler, Stocks are more dangerous. In this match, in last over India needed 16 runs, out which 11 runs were scored on the 4th ball & rest runs 5 in 5 balls. India lost two wickets also. This is the beauty of cricket.

Win or lose the competition/rivalry should remain, it gives an adrenaline to all cricket fans. Its also good to see the mutual respect between players of both team....good for the game of cricket.
