yeah i love it! layering solids and outlines with different chase patterns can get wild. throw an acuarela effect on that outline too for some smokey outline vibes. Cant wait to see what you do with it :)

Is there something similar to this for After Effects?

I don’t know of any plugins like this for after effects. I have heard of people getting similar results with expressions, the modulus function, or just precomping a ‘bump’ for each shape and copy pasting it around the timeline to create patterns. Would be a neat plugin idea though. If you have resolume, you can always use the Record panel to output video files of chaser sequences and bring them back into AE. I’ve done that a few times for integrating chases into timecoded pixel mapped content before.

In your intro video, the red strobe has a very bright fluorescent feel. What do you do with that color?

That is just solid red, on a really bright LED screen. The flourescent bloom is just the effect of being filmed and overexposing in the camera a bit, and having a good amount of fog/haze in the air which makes it glow a bit more too.

Can you make a video about how to sync RESOLUME with FL studio? I only found Ableton tutorials 😔

I'm not super familiar with FL Studio in a performance setting, but I'll try to look into it. Ableton has Ableton Link which allows it to send data like BPM to other software. Lots of other software uses the Ableton Link technology, but it looks like FL Studio doesnt, even though people have been asking in the forums for years. You could use timecode audio tracks, or potentially send midi triggers out of FL studio.

So I have my LED screen mapped in Advanced output and all is working fine, I have my slices setup in chaser and they work fine, except each slice is displaying the entire input composition, any ideas how to rectify this and have it only display the segment of the image that the slice represents? Many thanks

Try setting the scaling to Mask in chaser instead of Fill Also make sure you aren’t affecting chaser with Slice Transform effect

Looks interesting, but much simpler and more limited. Chaser allows full creative control over your patterns which gives you much more variety and precision. For the price it looks pretty cool though for a quick solution!

Bro, i tried with this the Stage Flow as well! But the output was little bit messy! Do you have any idea about that? It was the same layout as yours even in the Stage Flow.

You want to avoid applying any output transformation effects to chaser or it will misalign. So put chaser after stageflow or on a layer that’s not affected by stageflow. I usually use stageflow on a group or layer instead of the composition

Make sure advanced output is active in resolume. Click file>new in chaser. If that doesn’t work, try reinstalling chaser or contact Hybrid Constructs support for more help
