It's a tech you can learn pretty easily actually. You press start (open menu), then quickly slide your thumb upwards from A (open weapon menu), to X (remove weapon) to start (exit menu). Then you immediately press L2 to parry. But Chase is so good at it, he has already reopened the menu to equip his dagger by the time he is parrying haha.

I had a very similar experience the other night with someone who had the most convenient lag I have ever seen. We were fighting and their connection in the beginning and the middle of the fight was fine, but then all of a sudden when they were on the verge of losing they started teleporting all over the damn place which was extremely annoying but I did kill them in the end.

Takes a while to get used to the environment. At first I won like 9 out of 10 fights, now it's about 50/50. You need experience with all the different playstyles to know how to counter them as well as developing your own.

hitting R2 while in your weapon menu skips down 5 rows, meaning if i want to be able to swap from any weapon i have to gundyrs for a charge attack after a crit i need 25 haha. i use this on some build set ups, mostly my quality build. figured id try it with my strength build to see how i like it. works well but since i mostly use claymore for fishing on strength builds i usually only care to have 1 below that. this was useful for sure though.
