I'm a total Elden Ring pvp newb. I'm level 150 carian spellsword build. I'm like 1W 23L in duels and 1W 4L in invasions. That being said I'm loving it! It's seriously fun and addictive. The sleep dual swords guy is a perfect example of why I don't bother with lower level PvP. Sure you can still get higher lvl phantoms at 125 but at least you are on a reasonable build by then

I only agree with Madness proc being dodgable, but fuck nerfs! Then they won't be fun like what they did to Rivers. Don't get me wrong, fuck ROB but they could've balanced it but they MASSACRED it. I don't want that happening to Sleep Or Madness sets because they are incredible procs as well as they have their own shortcomings (such as Sleeps abysmal range and Madness abilities incredibly slow start ups) that I feel balance them out enough; they're not so bad that they need a "fix".

Those sleep swords are the reason I say sleep/madness needs a nerf. That build alone is basically unbeatable, unless you're -specifically- set up to poise-break non-stop or chip him from range. And that's not even countng the constant sleep procs -through- rolls. It's actual, honest-to-goodness cancer, and I can't figure out hwo people enjoy doing it.

The same reason people used pre-nerf RoB: everything in this game is designed to funnel you down the path of using the most braindead meta garbage. This is why the pve is so bad and the majority of the pve is miserable unless you cheese. The new casuals brought flocked onto this like flies to a corpse, veterans not so much. The problem lies in the face that the idea of an open world souls game, while very stupid, has an immense allure to it that brought in swathes of clueless new players that drowned out even those who only played three, making proper gatekeeping impossible.

Banger video as usual. Have you ever considered keeping the Bestial Constitution on hand in case you run out of boluses? I find it especially useful on low level builds since you don’t have easy access to them, it also only has a 9 faith requirement.
