I would disagree, I think that's true in the US ('cept for the clique ofc) but the clique scenes are even bigger in other countries and I think ppl who face difficulties in their life immediately understand more, because that's what it's representing. So I would say the common struggling people all over the world understand more than rare-r people who can at least pretend well to themseleves that they aren't struggling in some way.
