Farooque Shaikh was the class mate of Sunil Gavaskar and was a better batsman than Gavaskar as per the coach of both the batsmen Mr. Kamal Bhandarkar. But father of Farooque stopped him from playing cricket. Then farooque Shaikh went to UK for Law degree as per the wishes of his father. Then after coming back from UK, as a revolt he declared that he would join NSD rather than becoming a lawyer. He joined NSD. Rest is history. What a man. No stone of jewel on earth can match him
