I'm not a hunter and I think deer are the most beautiful creatures on earth. But, I have no problem watching your family hunt for food for your family. God didn't intend for them not to feed us. It's the cycle of life. Thank you for your video's. I love all of you

I agree with what you are saying my issue is that if the hunt was to put venison in the freezer or on the table why when there seemed to be many opportunities to harvest one did they pass them up in lieu of the big trophy buck? You can't talk out of both sides of your mouth and not have people question this.

Another awesome video Daniel!! The wife and I have watched your channel for a while now and I can honestly say it's one of the best channels of its kind of KZbin. We have learned a lot from you and DeeJay on gardening and raising the animals. BUT me being a South Georgia boy the hunting videos are the best especially when Houston and EmmaLee take a deer. I haven't hunted or fished in at least 15 years because of the job the wife and I do ( truck drivers) because we are always on the road and watching your videos kind of heals the soul so to speak when I see you guys doing what you do. Keep up the awesome work on your farm and your merchandise business and may our Lord and Savior keep you safe and prospering. Trucker C and Mrs Trucker C

That’s WHY the Big Buck was there-variable winds. Good hunting tip: hunt from a tree in variable winds…it throws them off, they walk through quickly. Took a deer every year for 23 years except when the winds changed. Deer are bedded down in 20+ mph.

Great video and father/kid time. I’m sure that there are lots of folks that would be happy with an eight pointer but I really like the fact that you manage, rather than just shoot the first thing that moves. The fact that you’ll help someone else put meat in the freezer shows that as well. Thanks for sharing!

Man, the road noise, the trains, you guys aren't as rural as I thought. I'm from extreem North West CA. The wild rivers coast. The silence is so different here. All we can hear is the lonely logging truck miles away or if the ocean 4miles away is breaking big waves. Were deep in the redwoods on the Smith River. You should see the elk that eat all my apples!

I come from an area where hunting is very popular. Not only that but the local businesses seriously take advantage of deer widows weekend. For anyone who doesn't know what deer widow's weekend is it's the opening weekend of the hunt. All the hunter's go out but the typically women left behind go shopping.
