Chasing a Helicopter with an FPV Drone

Wow! I am a heli pilot and recently started fpv quad flying. I would have been super nervous with you getting that close to my tail rotor if I was flying. Great video and scenery/landscape!

Nicely done! I did that up here in Alaska with some friends and a bell 505 and man was it fun and intense!! I chased them while flying through icebergs and glaciers too which was insane lol.

Hey bro, amazing footage! did the quad act strange when under the helo rotor wash? I would be very afraid the sudden wind coming down sucking the quad right into the heli!

Hey, I'm intening to record helicopter, just like you:) Was there any technical issues while flying? How did you feel the vortex and turbulances? Was there any interference between video or crossfire and the heli? Thank you very much for response, I'm really nervous... Thanks Cheers from Poland

Hey Wiktor, no technical issues while flying. Quad handled the turbulence well. Be aware of a slight reduction in video signal quality if you’re flying long range while in proximity to the heli. Super important to stay clear of the tail rotor. Turn off GPS rescue if you have it on. Always be ready to failsafe just in case.

Looks good! But, is it even legal? I am Endorsed for Helo/Fast Jet Formation Flight in Australia but I wouldn't do this with a Drone Pilot flying remotely through a small screen who has no real aviation experience and does not know how full size aircraft fly and respond or not in real time. (I have 3,500+ turbine Helo and 1,500+ Jet flight time)
