Good effort! You’ve been right on his tail basically the entire time And considering how much bottom and top end power a 450 has You did great keeping up on a 250! Looked like a lot of fun

Story time of my dad: Once upon a time, he thought he heard the magical words "free vet races", he went to the gate on his YZ250FX. The other guys were on 250 smokers. The number board guy just told him to stay there when he noticed...it wasn't free. Well...when he took the holeshot, he was really surprised. Wrecked on the last lap but left them in the dust, luckily he had the reckluse, or the bike would've died. He got going holding his ribs and finished 1st. The guy holding the board said he could register for the next race, but those 2-stroker guys were glaring at him so he decided not to. Not about horespower really, about control of the bike. Like how the 490s were smoking the 500s or how my sister took the holeshot on her 150R with a whole bunch of two strokes. They illegalized the 150, then she raced on her RM.

@@DerekHallman not sure if you’ve tried it yet but on my ‘21 yz250f I run the “Keefer Free Feeling” map and for me it’s the best thing ever, I highly recommend it (it’s the same map for the ‘21 and ‘22). Let me know your thoughts if you ever give it a try.
