Love the classic CP's in the opening shot, really cool scene!!! My 2 favorite shots are the CN 100 under the overpass at around a minute and a half(just a visually awesome shot, the angle, the lighting, the overpass etc, just really cool!!!) and the second shot is at about 10:40, love the tree branches on each siding perfectly framing the shot is, composition is just perfect with the train, river etc.. Just love this shot!!! Awesome video as per usual, not only have a blast watching your videos but am truly learning alot about how to make cool train videos. Hope all is well Tyson, have an awesome night!!! -Ken

That's a nice pairing, a newly repainted AC44 & a heritage unit.

I do really like how CP buries a loco in the train. BNSF rarely does anything but put DPU’s on the very end. Great video.
@dougberry10112 жыл бұрын
They are called mid-train remotes or DPU’s(distributed power units)

Another great video. Super cool to see the Sumas Switcher in the opening shot. The Sumas Switcher power is GP38AC ? Correct me if I am wrong.
@TracksideTyson2 жыл бұрын
I believe one of them is a GP38AC and they use GP38-2’s also, thanks for watching John.

Awesome video, the trains and scenery were just amazing! What was that chute for on top of the mountain?

@@disturbed1954 I don’t know what you see? The cars are auto racks, otherwise I don’t see anything significant at 24:30?

@@disturbed1954 I don’t see it there are Cascade mountains and power lines running across the top maybe that’s what you saw?

Saddle Rock location is awesome spot. Even if no trains went by,I could stay there all day and watch the Fraser flow. Huge difference between the Thompson and the Fraser canyon. Both are excellent, but I like the greenery.

Great job. That heritage unit is awesome. Gonna look odd with those KCS units all mixed up in there!

Great video! That first train looked like something out of a model railroad. Did anyone else catch 8870 on the first train and 8871 on the 2nd? Just weird things I notice!

What is the road that crosses the track at Saddle Rock ?
@TracksideTyson2 жыл бұрын
Not named a road but is a service road going down to a tower.

Great scenery. What causes a railcar to bounce on the tracks? Could this bouncing cause a derailment?
@TracksideTyson2 жыл бұрын
Soft spots in the ground and yes it can but I have seen trains bounce pretty hardcore and they haven’t derailed so it would have to be pretty bad. Thanks!
@BNSF14582 жыл бұрын
Great video! Love all the nice spots & catches. How do you feel about CP changing all their train symbols? Gonna be hard to get used to for me, I'm so used to just seeing 493 & 492 and now its going to be 251 & 250... ouch

Thanks brother! Yeah we will need to re learn it all again! Things changed down here also - Thanks for the comment!
