Love your videos mate. I believe you Westernport fishermen are so hell bent on using Squid Rings and that’s detrimental to your hook up success rate. If you hang squid strips with KS 4/0 or 5/0 hooks with 5/0 or something Octopus hooks you will have a better success rate 👍. Hate seeing fish lost, the Anaconda KS hooks make a huge difference when it comes to tidal flow.👌

I also used a squid strip mate but that day the rings kept getting bites I did also have rigs with two hooks in them which I showed but still pulled hooks, but I suppose that just fishing sometimes. I do love squid strips though and always run them in conjunction with rings as I’ve found plenty of times they often like one or the other Hope you enjoyed the show.

I just do a knot that I’ve used since I was about five years old. Do t know what it’s called but it’s the toughest knot I’ve used and I’ve tried a lot of them. I’ll do a you tube vid soon showing it as I’ve been asked about it often
