Easily the best kick-off teaser to a tournament that I’ve watched. Hope VCT continues to model all their future tournament trailers in this way too. While it’s exciting to see pros pose coolly for the cameras and watch high-octane, vibrantly colored animated action scenes, I think this way of setting up a tournament and introducing all the participating teams is far more memorable. I appreciate that the contents are highly specific to *this* particular Masters in not just the environment but in the narration and the visual storytelling. In just 4 minutes, viewers are able to easily distinguish the biggest rivalries they need to look out for, they get a VERY succinct low-down of the favorites to win and what each team has to prove, and best of all, the ongoing storylines we’re teased with are only applicable to Masters Tokyo 2023 alone. Bonus points for letting viewers witness the hunger and passion written all over the pros’ faces as well, as all of them look towards a singular goal. Any greatest-hit reels of iconic moments or stylized, action-forward animated trailers can be easily repurposed for new events simply by editing the text, which is what makes them forgettable sometimes, even when they’re well-made. It’s refreshing to finally see a tournament trailer so context-heavy and specific that it can’t be reused for another Masters’ event. Best part is how it’s all expertly communicated through mostly visuals, too - like previous tournament broadcasts, player cams, shots of players’ expressions and team interactions, etc. I sincerely appreciate how it’s able to condense so much key info into a short time while quickly setting the stage for all those uninitiated or unfamiliar with what’s happened so far in VCT. I simply *adore* this teaser and what it accomplishes. Fantastic job to everyone who worked on this - they should be proud of this gush-worthy piece they worked so hard to produce!

lmfao all of US now knows the pain of an aussie valorant fan (living in the future is hard lol). games are at 2am - 10am when i was watching VCT EMEA and Americas. Finally the times are at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm

Don't worry, EU will still cry the loudest, as they always do. Also not ALL of the US has it that bad, the US stretches across 5 time zones. West Coast PST, Alaska and Hawaii will be starting in prime time and going late. East Coast EST and Eastern Brazil are starting at 11pm and midnight. GMT has it OK starting at 4am-7am-10am. Can't expect EU players to understand how much bigger the Pacific or other continents actually are any more than expect my fellow Americans to understand how giant Africa is. Aus is close to the same size as the contiguous US, that is easy to visualize.
