Sounded great! This month is right up my alley. D.G. always has epic tone and what's more fun than breaking the code.

I do not have all the gear that you possess but when I play the song through my Les Paul I am usually using an OCD and a Tube Screamer through an Orange amp with a bit of distortion coming from the amp setting. I’m happy with the sound and I feel is more important to come up with a general theme of what I’m trying to relate to the listener. I feel I don’t have to sound exactly like David Gilmour, I just have to put in my own signature way of playing it. Great channel I subscribed

I use amplitube 5. I also have a positive grid spark 40 with the cab, and a Boss Katana. I followed this tutorial in amplitube and it's really close. Thanks again KDA!

My son has been kind enough to relieve of my Headrush pedalboard, so I’m going to try to duplicate the settings in my Zoom G5N. I have a Keeley Dark Side, but I’m gonna try to build from scratch first. 🤟

Sounds great! Hey Kelly How do you get the track with no vocals and guitar if you don't mind me asking"?

Backing track from either KZbin itself, or my favorite backing track website, Brasil backing tracks.

Sounds great to me Kelly. Thanks for all the time and effort you put not your videos. Now for my request. Badge by Cream with the Leslie played by George Harrison. You listen to that song just waiting for it, ionic.

KDA, can you cover and teach the final cut solo?

Maybe a chorus throughout the lead, but switch to flanger for that last, ICONIC, lick?

Sorry for the noob question but the effects before the amp means going into the input/ front of the preamp and power amp? And the modulation plus time coming after the power amp? I've never used software before but want to get into bias. Thanks
@KellyDeanAllenGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Anything that's gonna add gain (boost, distortion, fuzz etc) to your signal goes before the amp. Any modification, delay, reverb goes after. However that's not set in stone. Some will put delay, modulation, etc before the amp if they're looking for a certain tone.

@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar on my amp I have a compressor, wah and distortion into a noisegate and then into the front input of the amp and I have flanger, delay and reverb going into the effects loop . Is that the same signal chain setup as in your video using the bias?

Why didn’t you use a flanger? Not to be critical, but curious. I’m about to attack this lead, and the last lick (in my opinion) is the one that makes the whole solo. I’m guessing you attempted it with a flanger. (?) What happens that made you decide to go with a chorus instead?
