Hi, I subscribed for FP. But recently sbrebrown and you put out tool related vids which I'm also interested. Regarding torches, I went the utilitarian route. I got those cheap 9 led torches with 3 AAA packs and changed to 18500 and passed to relatives. Those batteries last super long for occasional looking for things in tight corners or darkness. I got a keychain 10440/AAA that is my EDC on me all the time. A 14500/AA zoomable in my bag to handle both flood and throw. A couple of multi mode 18650 torches, one with p60 drop in, the other zoomable. Like what you said, the brightness doesn't really matter as seldom I have use for such an ultrabright so the 18650 torches tend to stay at home.
