Just 2 things on C'thun. You want to save PI but as you run into the room you should use TOEP immediately and you will have it for weakened phase. Second thing, Giant claw tentacle doesn't count towards warcraftlogs dps (exlcluded) so if you are sneaky parsing, focus small tentacles and Giant EYE tentacle only.

Hi Alive! Really good to see you back with another video. I actually prefer the BWL format personally and find it to be more helpful to me. While I enjoy figuring out and learning how to better parse on bosses, I have a more raid-wide focus where I try to do as well as I possibly can throughout the entire raid, and whether I get a 99 or even a 100 on a specific boss or not isn't the be-all and end-all for me. I much prefer having good overall damage and curse uptime. Looking forward to P6 BiS video :D

@29:10 On twins, reapplying corruptions, etc. isn't going to "put the raid at risk." After a teleport, Veklor has 2k threat on the closest player (usually the melee tank). The dot ticks will not pull the boss across the room because it is simply not enough threat to exceed that initial threat in any meaningful timeframe. By the time your two dots (corr/coa) have done 2k damage your warlock has landed searing pain several times. Therefore, you should reapply your dots. There's a risk staying in and bolting until the teleport. Teleports can happen while a shadowbolt is mid flight, and it will redirect and go across the room. If that crits, it can easily pull threat. Hell, with DMF you can probably hit for over 2k without a crit. I agree staying in and bolting is the correct strat, but be aware of that risk. Your warlock tank should still quickly grab threat back, or have landed a crit searing pain of their own before the shadow bolt arrives (it's a long flight) and be fine. A few unlucky misses from your warlock tank can still be an issue in this scenario.

Same with dots. If your lock tank miss few searing pains your dots can pull agro. With sb its easy to control it, if you see teleport you simply cancel casting.

​@@dusanjankovic7229 Your dots won't pull aggro. It takes 2000 damage before that can happen at all due to initial aggro. Teleport is instant. You can't really see it coming like you describe, it is just a window where they could teleport. The video got that part right. You don't get the opportunity to cancel a shadowbolt cast. They can teleport while your shadow bolt is mid air.

The fight is suppose to work as you said but i’ve seen it bug due to pre-dots and aggro to the other side like the video said. It did seem like a bug so it’s just safer not to do it

Naxx Loot specially Token Priorities would be nice next or some Naxx "Parse" Hints like this one. Or some short talk about spell pen and if there are some Bosses worth it (thought there were some more shadow ressist Bosses in Naxx)

Thanks for the info Alive. What's your take on a guild having no corruption slots for warlocks? Is it safe to cast Corruption and have it potentially ripped off by other debuffs or would you just avoid using it all together?

I wish I could follow your Twins strat to get a 90+ parse. Our guild normally runs 3 locks. All 3 locks wear SR gear for Twins. There is a backup lock as sometimes the lock tank dies. Very hard to get a high parse wearing runed stygian gear. And we only have 2 druids which sometimes have Battle res on CD.

Skeram has 20+ resistance. Since he wipes off curses, you want spell pen gear. T2.5 chest+shoulders easy. Have shadowbolt on mouseover macro so you can point your cursor in general direction and have no stops in casting, be it at fake or real skeram.

If you mean u're going fire because theres no CoS assignment its very unlikely to get 99 parses, as you wont be able to CoA or Corruption and might find yourself threatcapped in many situations

@@IamAliveTv ye, but you have to be focused on weaving only, hard to do on most bossfights, quite impossible to achieve if you're totem twisting at the same time, and don't forget about the insane mana cost

It is just disgusting that we warlocks rely on other people so much, begging for no curse assignment, asking priests for pi's and wards, etc etc. And imagine having no curse of shadow, no shadow weaving, for an entire expansion. No chance to even compete without those. Whereas warriors etc just go out there and start pumping without having to beg anyone. Can't wait for tbc..

Nah plenty of full P5 BiS warlocks parse like ass, too. I rolled 99s on Fankriss/Huhuran while I still had Master Demonologist. Just have to get your buffs and consumes in line, run a decent strat, and NOT go with a guild who refuses to run with more than two warlocks lol.
