I'm glad that you're doing these kinds of things. You and a lot of the guys at pedigo have been an inspiration for a long time.

Hey Andrew, I first saw you on the Daisy Fresh video - super inspirational work ethic, bro. I'm a lowly 3s wb at 46 years old. I love this sport and pushing my body to its limits. Reason I'm writing is to encourage you, bro, to keep making videos - people will watch them. Oss!

Really solid stuff. Connected some dots for me, love the mini instructional content. I need to really focus on my back attacks, I'm getting into position pretty regularly but my finish percentage is too low because I lose control of the hips (among other things, I'm sure). This was super informative.

Andrew, your work and progress are awesome to watch, thank you! What are your recommendations for wrestling up on bigger guys (specifically) from half? How often do you get to roll with larger opponents of similar skill?

Kind of a shot in the dark but I got a told you guys don’t have a noon class on Mondays and that’s my only day off from work, I really want to pull up and shout “Aye who’s down to roll with me for a crisp $20?” Lol I live in a small town in Kentucky and need to be around good rolling partners so I’m trying to work with what I got

We don't have a class per se. Noon on Mondays everyone is at the gym drilling/doing conditioning/rolling.

"He can be as tight as he wants and I will be able to work one of my hands in"! No you wont, that's nonsense. Why do people always teach that its so easy to put a hand into some imaginary space? Not hating, love your videos but this is always taught the same "just put your hand in." why? you wont, if his turtle is decent and tight your not get that hand in that easily! thanks
@Aaron-bd9sj Жыл бұрын
It actually is pretty simple to virtually always dig a hand in, even if they're tight and especially if they're not trying to stand up (a la Craig Jones style). You can use kuzushi to force them to widen their base and insert a hand. Why? Because if they commit to staying balled up soooo tight, they actually roll very easily and now they're on their side, either facing towards you or away from you. So their option is to widen their base while you're trying to off balance them and then stick a hand in. Simple as.
