In this episode, we have a conversation with President Theadore Roosevelt about his time as a Dakota cowboy and what that time meant not only to him but for the future of America. We also visit with First Lady Edith Roosevelt. Later, we chat with Roosevelt historical interpreters Larry and Julia Marple, who portray Teddy and Edith Roosevelt at events and locations throughout the country. We catch up with the Marples in Medora, North Dakota, where they spend their summers doing first-person interpretation for that community on a daily basis. They offer programs and events all summer long, so when you visit the town, you feel as if you have actually met the real Roosevelts.
