Yeah, I really felt like I got too long-winded talking about all this, mostly I’m just trying to convince myself, put up or shut up I guess. Next chapter is actually doing stuff and forward progress

It does look cool.

You said you needed to make shaft longer . When you had the body setting on the frame the motor looked like it could go back some maybe that 4 inches your messing or more
@MarekMakes6 ай бұрын
Yeah I thought of that … but motor mounts… trans cross member…. Fuel lines, tranny cooler lines… all need to move ..
@GregoryBamber6 ай бұрын
@@MarekMakes what native steel says makes sense. It would help with weight distribution front to rear. That motor has too much forward of the line of the front suspension. With the motor moved back would make it handle a lot better.
@MarekMakes6 ай бұрын
I sat there this morning drinking a cup of coffee staring at it … the front cross member under the engine is where the motor mounts are right now, 4” back would be in line with the upper control arm … also the transmission cross member would need to move back as well … 😖

Most of the time I am not a fan of 'rake' in hot rods, to me they have always looked broken or bent like a K5 after a jump. Not so in this case! Dayum that looks GOOD. Well done and keep chipping away, also congratulations to the team and your daughter.

You are doing a fine job for doing something like this for the first time. But you have to start somewhere. The stance is looking spot on. A question and a suggestion. That reverse 4 link. Will you be able to change that? Right now its sticking out like a sore thumb. The suggestion is for you to where a lapal mic when making your videos. Reason being, when you stand at any distance from the camera, it is sometimes hard to understand your dialogue. Kinda echoes and distorted. Other then that, get er done. 🤗
@MarekMakes6 ай бұрын
Will be working on the 4 link soon Yes I did buy a mic but I’m lazy a lot and don’t use it … I’ll work on my technical bits for better videos

There is So much more involved to a frame swap than guys think. Lots and lots of measurements and then sometimes you still end up a half inch short 🤬 ask me how I know. I'm sure that you will make it happen though. Personally I don't think the half inch even showed. Good work man. By the way I like the Tshirt. I am also left unsupervised at times 😂

Getting it done!!! Any chance you have the pop out quarter windows you wanna sell?
@MarekMakes6 ай бұрын
You mean the vent windows from up front? Yes I am really thinking I will eliminate them and have one longer front door window

I always thought the master deluxe had side quarter windows that opened up.. ( Similar to the door vent windows)

I dont comment much...but this build is coming along just great...pity you half of an inch short in the notch or that would have given you some play room in the rear...As you mentioned with regard to the notch fish plate the sides of the mitre joints and gusset the bars holding them together and you should have much rigidity strength...i wanna see what you soung for the running boards...Check out what Brent did at Half Ass Kustoms that may give you a perspective and guide as to which way to go if you gonna custom make the running boards...But good on you mate for how far you come...It isnt your fault you was left unsupervised 😂😂😂

You will probably move the engine back to the firewall and then the drive shaft will be too long .
@MarekMakes6 ай бұрын
I had considered that … but then I need to move the mounts and also transmission crossmember and all the lines … I’m also 6’5” and was thinking I can make more leg room by extending the firewall forward …

@@MarekMakes Better check to see if the dog house will fit with the engine so far forward.Ive got a SBC in my 37 and its a tight fit.👍
