I think it's really impressive tbh. Like you said, if you understand python a little better you could maybe fix the errors but chatgpt has given you a starting point in itself. Love it

I have been trying to code on C4D for a while with chatGPT and the Cinema 4D documentation is indeed not up to date, at least in terms of information related to the SDK. It is much more efficient on Blender because it is open source and also because the Blender community is very present and shares a lot about scripting on forums. Perhaps we can wait for the next version of ChatGPT 2023 to use it on Cinema 4D.

The reason it has errors all the time is because ChatGPT is using an old api from maxon.

I've been experimenting with this as well with mixed results. Sometimes amazing, and sometimes it's painfully obvious that neither of us know what we're doing! As the LLMs are just making educated guesses it can be wrong most times, but if you keep prompting and know a bit about the C4D python modules you can nudge it in the right direction. I think the more it gets exposed to C4D Python the better it will get. I wonder if Maxon will eventually include a prompt function within C4D.

Yes, I've tested it the same after noticing tutorial for blender, and for blender it works way better. Obviously it needs more time to get improved for cinema - too many mistakes

Brilliant 👏. I have always wanted a script that will export every selected object as an individual stl or fbx file. Currently, u have to select each individual item and export it. Time-consuming and repetitive. Cheers.

Im also tried asking some solution for cinema4d and its works same way - its can answer something very very easy, something you can easly google for minutes and it totally usless answer any complex task - all answers is "about right" but its always have fantasy options or method in the middle. Im spending two hours and have no any correct answers. Its just imagine not existed features all the time.
