This is so upsetting because i have just seen the 2013 pictures and it brings me to tears to see such a beautiful place become ruins. i have always been one for architectural detail and it makes me so upset to see this.

when i went there there was a family who stayed there, when it was " Home de Noisy " for children ( '77 ), they told me that the com. tried to buy it a view times.

I think they don't sell it, because they rent the place for people to hunt pheasants ( and also to hunt in the castle ), also on the other side of the estate there is a big residence. i think from the attendant. .

I just visited it today! In order to reach this castle, you need: 1.Satellite navigated google map 2.Hop over the fence 3.Stumble through spiky roses 4.Avoid guard 5.Avoid dogs 6.Above all, not get caught!

A part of the castle burned down and the rest of the building is subject to dry rot which means the castle is now beyond repair.

I want to visit this castle next summer; however, I will have my 4 kids with me. Obviously much of the castle isn't safe, but are we able to be on the grounds? Heard it is really hard to find?

@jstnsrns I think it's also because it's in hands of the owner and he doesn't want to sell it, just like the owners of Mesen didn't want to sell their castle and let it abandoned. It's a pitty. They should take the castle out of their hands (I mean, that they aren't owner anymore) and restore them, or at least don't let it go worser.

it is such a shame it could not become a group home and let the person pick a part of this castle and redo it as they see fit. would it not be a great place to live...

In the 1990's the owners tried in vain to find investors who would restore Noisy but had no takers. From research I have found the red tape involved in acquiring European historical properties is extensive with specific guidelines that must be followed.
